leepark
how about the x-blade cb, mp32, r7 japan, j33 cb and x-forged? anyone know.
vandercharks
Cally x-forged is not for a digger/driver.
Cameron
My Tourstage MR-23 US Spec CBs have a reasonably killed leading edge and dig very little. The close ups are the 23s. Compare to the Hogan. Edited July 10, 2007 by Cameron
jick
Maruman Conductor Power Forged Irons should also be added to the list...
Phillip Alexander
I notice the raw Yururi wedges gave a similar grind on the leading edge to the Marumans.
joeburdo3
Titleist 670 blades....high bounce, blunt leading edge. Made for steep swinger. like me.
Bowie8
I second the Maruman Conductor. No forged club that I have played digs less.
mofo.66
how about the x-blade cb, mp32, r7 japan, j33 cb and x-forged? anyone know. X Blade CB 2 has...more like a smoothed out V grind on the sole....use light reflection to check the sole, you would know what i mean. Eca
Fast forward 2011.. I'm interested in more recent model irons falling in this category.
Shambles
Which of the highly touted iron sets have relatively more bounce and / or anti dig leading edges? It's not all that hard to feel the leading edge of any candidate irons and make a decision. I also suspect it's more likely that your need is a swing instructor to get you into the habit of hitting the small ball before the big ball. Personally, I've gone the opposite direction, retiring my Fourteen TC 1000's and Sword's in favor of bagging my 20+ year old Eye 2's which have, I think, twice the thickness of leading edge to the above mentioned. I hit the small ball first with all the clubs but these days I'm in the memory lane mood. It's just a mood in my case, or I'm feeling my age. The rounded leading edge does help reduce the damage of hitting the big ball before the small ball, but better would be to practice enough to make hitting the small ball habitual even if you have to swing a little bit more slowly and carefully. It does not take long to get used to the change and then get back to the more furious swing. As a matter of fact, most people I've met do so so quickly that they lose what progress they made. Eca
So many moving parts in the swing & things can change so subtle during a round so any equipment help is appreciated :) You're right though, gone to a range that's a little sandy & really exposed the off strikes. Eca
Googling the subject of bounce & sole width on irons since so much rain in Sydney & everything is soooo soft & lush. This topic came up.
anggapra
my rc fd forged iron mave a leading edge relief, and it is very forgiving, easier than my ping g10.
potuna
Mizuno JPX 800 pros have a nice sole and played well in soft conditions. Titlelist Japan VG3s are also nice in wet soft conditions, any condition really.
EdGolf
ON/Off is also good for soft conditions IME
Eca
Miura 1957 LE Blades solved my issue. Coming from mp-68 these have more bounce stock and the shorter heel to toe gives an awesome turf interaction. Played it now in various conditions. Huge diff, even during wet conditions, I get nice thin-med divots. Along with the kbs c taper i have dropped 3.4 off my handicap so far in the short period I have had it.
