MCsub
The score of 92 is so horrible compared to how well I hit the driver and irons. 40 putt round. 8 - yes 8 - 3 putts. Argh!! My worst putting round possibly ever. Several horrible, horrible chips as well. But the driver and three wood were awesome. Hooked one drive when we were rushing to play through a group. Otherwise it was impeccable. Most drives were on the short grass or very close. Hard to say better than the X-Drive, but the .5 degree open face helped me play the right side more and I liked that option. Only teed off w/ the 3 wood once and just crushed it. Once again, HUGE thanks to Ajaykkr for the QT shaft recommendation. Just the best three wood I have ever hit. Now does Epon make putters too??? :)
jacksonlui
you didn't give any feedback on the irons
ajaykkr
you need to work on those putts.... there are 10-12 strokes there... glad you like the 3 wood.... also dont hesitate to try the 3 wood off the deck.... its bloody long and easy to hit with the right ball flight
MCsub
you didn't give any feedback on the irons My feelings about my Bridgestones / Tour Concepts are well know around here. I think they are simply the best irons I have ever hit, period. I was hitting them very well yesterday. I tried Guage NC1s & Miuras. These blow them away. My Z101s are my backup set and I would put those in front of most everything else too. Bridgestone FCBs are as good as it gets.

The one par five I had a good look at the green in two I used my 5 and did find paydirt from about 230. I knew the 3 wood have been too long. The eagle putt was close - from 40' I missed the edge by 5" and rolled 6' by. Could not leave it short as I have never made one. Missed the bird... settled for par. Had another par 5 where my drive went so long I only needed 6 iron in. I know it about the putts. Two rounds before I had 28 total putts. It is usually one of the better parts of my game. But i will start mixing that 3 wood in more... it is very long and deadly accurate.

MCsub
lalalalalalala That putter sure looks nice in your avatar! I am through screwing around though. This year I have played w/ my Bettinardi Hello Ball Big Time. I got it as a practice putter, and it really has got me lined up. Didn't plan to use it this year, but until the last round it has been solid. However, last night I put the Gauge Design / Gold's factory SM490A back in the bag. Hammered a bucket into the crisp Colorado air (had our first frost last night) and then headed to the practice green. Forgot how sweet the SM490A felt. So soft, so nice on distance control. Still love Bettinardi DASS, but I am back in black for the rest of the year
