Chris, do you think Tourstage will come out with another version of the ViQ Forged Irons or any other products soon?

Why would one play a driving or ut irons (unless you are a low single) when you can play an easier wood like hybrid or fairway wood? These things are so unforgiving. The name of the game is to lower one score/handicap isn't it?

Not everyone feels comfortable over a hybrid wood like club. Do they hit it like a wood or like a long iron ?

People tell them to hit it like a long iron, but it still looks like a small wood head. This means a lot feel more cofortable using a more forgiving like long iron with large cavity pocket and sole for added forgiveness.

I prefer the look of a long iron, but still hit my Titleist 585H and Adams Idea pro hybrids pretty well. I'm definitely going after the Epon AF-501 or the Tourstage X-ut driving iron for the next season. I control a long forgiving iron better than a hybrid head.

I have a crown pic of the 445 x-drive, I will take a picture tomorrow in good light and post it, its different to say the least. nice with no alignment aid, but the red grid maybe a little distracting.

I wonder if the camera has emphasised the amount of red on the crown?

Most likely yes, and also a lot will depend on the angle you're looking at. The first pic of the top looks better, the second one from more of a back angle looks radioactive. (^_^)

new viq forged? they just came out with a new viq forged this year. why would they put out a new model so quickly?

They've decided to release an entirely new designed ViQ lineup, driver, fairway woods, irons and utilitles so the forged is redesigned as well but releasing 4 months after the others.

I've got both the 9.5* and 10.5* stiff coming upon release. Will be keeping the one giving better results on the simulator and selling the other. The shaft does look absolutely perfect for me and I'm so glad it's the stock shaft. If the X445 is even better than the X460, I will be in heaven!

Guys, the driver does not look that red in normal indoor lighting, and I've hit it outside where, again, it didn't look that red to me. Caveat... the club I tried was an early release/demo, so when the 445 hits the retail floor, it could look a bit different.

TMFreak, the feel is very, very solid; it felt similar to the 430P, but I was trying the 430P with a QuattroTech, so I was partial to that club because the shaft fit be swing a bit better. Some other guys playing 430P's and 460's said the 445 seems a touch more forgiving, but they hadn't done an in depth comparison at the range or on the course.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to compare the 445 to the Epon.

So the X-Drive is getting rave reviews everywhere.... and it's not as red as I expected in real light. I know chris has one and should be posting some awesome pics here soon but in the mean time here are more pics off the web.
