wmclarenf1
Did you guys spine and flo your shaft for install or did you just put it in with the silver or white side of the shaft facing up towards you ie 12 o'clock as Daiwa says? Mine is spined for the soft spine and installed facing away from target or 3 o'clock and in this case it is the silver silver side facing away from target. Thanks. Thanks. That is pretty interesting as Daiwa say's its logo up and down. I have been finding a somel manufacturing variations between their shafts which is not a good thing. Main thing is it performs for you, If it doesn't please PM me so we can work this out.

If there is indeed a spine and assuming one believes that spining works, then wouldn;t it matter if the logo was up or down as that will affact toe droop etc.
wmclarenf1
I thought the Roddio was/is hot cakes here. No one else has this shaft?
K2_2
I think there are still a few people playing it... some people didn't get along well with the shaft. I have the irons and wouldn't trade them for anything... atleast not until after the Tokyo show lol. One thing with the drivers, and this is not a slam against any independent club-makers, but I loved the factory demos and one aftermarket setup by a big shop in Japan. I've tried a few Roddios that someone has 'thrown in' to other clubs though... I'm not sure if they were bad match-ups, improper installs or what, but none of these 'private' installs impressed me - again, the exception being a large shop up in Tokyo. +TourSpecGolfer
We have been finding many defects in Roddio shafts of recently. This has been brought to the attention of Daiwa, As of now I do not suggest them to anyone unless they acknowledge these problems and fix them. At this moment they deny they exist. +TourSpecGolfer
can you share more in detail about these defects? What we and others have found is: - Tip hole is smaller than the size of graphite tip weights - Some shafts play far softer than stated. I.E X flex at 253 cpm's when built to Daiwa's directions - Spine isn't logo up/down as they specify - some shafts have an extremely low ball flight while others don't, when installed into the same head the same way
xchangmanx
Yeah I had the same prob about 2 months ago. I bought a roddio shaft, and placed it in my GR w/the logo down and sliver up. I noticed I had trouble hitting it, it was harder to hit than my aldila. I then had it spined a floed. My 6ba has the Silver faced foward, and not the silver faced up. once I made this change, I could really hit the sweet spot consistantly. Thanks for this thread guys!! capedgolfer
I tested the prototypes and still have one in my 3 wood. I love the shaft in my 3wood, but the shaft I tried in my driver I hit it way too low. Had problems with it almost smothering the ball. I broke the first one they gave me, right at the tip, but it splintered on the interior wall.
Blader-X
The Diawa I had used for a short time performed very well for me. Chris did the install however, I didn't really like the "feel" of the shaft and have since moved on. I really liked the tight dispersion of the shaft. It was superior to the AxivV it replaced, however it didn't have the feel of it. It "felt" light even though it was an 80gm shaft. My current shaft combines the feel of the AxivV and the dispersion of the Roddio.
