Recommended Posts

Is there an easier way to buy tourstage shirts other than gdoshop.com, anything like TSG??

Clothing is one of the hardest things to buy from Japan. TSG has considered carrying it but its so hard to stock as it sells out so fast so the only thing we stick to are caps.

I inquired about this in the past as well. Needless to say I'll be one of the first in line if and when it gets in the proshop.

BTW, good to see you folks are now able to take orders for DWD!

You can order stuff like that through one of the Japan buying services like Japan to Door. The process is a bit complicated and it is NOT cheap, but you can get what you want. It just depends on how bad you want it and how much you're willing to pay.

Blast us an e-mail with the exact model #, color, size, and link to the product.

If the size you want is still available then we can get it for you below retail price.

please remember the most popular sizes like L and LL are usually sold out before release.

Also we don't sell outdated apparel only the latest stuff.

I have been told that Japan sizes are different to USA size charts. So if I am a size small or medium, what would that be in a Japan size?

Sizing can also depends on the brand... much of the Tourstage stuff is considered Pro Spec so even the Japanese sizes are big very comparable to US brands. A medium TS is far too large for me (I'm a small) and I end up giving them to people here who are in fact US mediums and they fit fine.

Paradiso on the other hand is cut slightly smaller. I can wear their Medium.

Sizing is hit or miss. Worse thing is its not cheap!. Safest to try before you buy or you run the risk of gbuying something under-size.

I'm a US Medium. Bought a Large size from Japan but its fits me like a small. Go figure. :tsg_smilie_surprise:

Thats true, I have some super huge Tourstage shirts and some tiny Paradiso shirts in the same size. As usual in this sport there are few true standards.

One other option is for those going to Japan in the summer, I've found that many shops will have sells during that time and you can pick up Paradiso and TourStage for very decent price and at the same time try them on to make sure they fit. I've found both L and XL sizes available during those times and both those sizes fit.

  • 2 weeks later...

Just got back from Japan.. Yes, their sizes can be quite different.. Have been wearing Tourstage/Paradiso for the last few seasons already.. I take medium for both brands.. sometimes they are too big and sometimes they are too small..

Seriously, it will be hard to buy just by through the net... Must go to Japan to try them out...

If the medium Japan size fits you, how does that compare with a medium U.S. size? My nephew is in the Marines and stationed in Japan. He is sending me a couple of Tourstage shirts in Japan size LL and I wear an XL in U.S. size.

It's kind of taking a chance, but still cheaper than a trip to Japan (as much as I'd like to go).

For Nike Dry-Fits.. TW and non-TW golf shirts.. I take Small.. but take medium on TS and Paradiso...

But they sometimes fit, sometimes don't.. I would say for every 10 shirts I get... 6-7 would fit pretty well...

It's not tailored clothing so I ain't picky but some are just way way big and way way small....

I just got 2 nice Tourstage shirts send to me by my nephew who is stationed in Japan. Here is my take on the sizing, FWIW: (These are Toustage brand, not Paradiso)

Normally I wear an XL in U.S. size and the fit is a little loose, which I like. Sleeves usually come down 1" to 2" below my elbow which is usually ok, but sometimes they're a tad long.

The Tourstage shirts are Japan size LL. They are very high quality and more "form fitted". Not tight, and they are made of a "stretch" kind of fabric. I would say they are maybe 1/2 size smaller than a standard U.S. size XL. Sleeves come down right to the top of the elbow.

Now for the woman's point if view: my wife says these fit great on me, not baggy like some of my shirts. At first they felt a little tighter than what I'm used to, but after a day of wearing one it was fine. I am 5'11" and 165 lbs. with broad shoulders and the Japan size LL in Tourstage brand is just about perfect.
