Ginrin
I have been reading great things about this shaft. How do it compare to Diamana BB63s or FujiRombax 75? Thx
gocchin
Great shaft P, especially if you want to keep the left side out of play and maintain a lower more piercing trajectory. It would launch slightly higher than a Blueboard but with more feel.
shinichi808
i doubt the taylormade tp rombax is anything like a real rombax. but comparing the rombax z to the quattro tech md, the quattro tech is a much more smoother feeling shaft. kind of just flows with your swing. the rombax z has a very strong kick to it. feels very solid...but definitely not as smooth as the quattro tech. in terms of which spins less i would give the nod to the rombax z. sorry never played a diamana shaft long enough to give a through review. they just never felt as nice as a graphite design or fujikura shaft. samuee
Funny, I found the MD-6 to launch lower than the BB (both USM and JDM) and similar to the overall flight of the TM Rombax 75 found in the Burner (105 SS). The MD-6 is the smoothest compared to the other two. Don't even waste your time on the TM Rombax 75 and unless you're getting the JDM BB, just get the MD-6. MGB
How does the MD compare to the YS-Q? Has anyone here tried both shafts?
viperact
I just installed a GD MD-6X Quattrotech. I still hook the ball. Read bad. I didn't cut the shaft, so that I can hit it off the toe more than off the heel on mis**ts. Yet I still hook the ball. Sometimes, I will cut the ball. I guess it's still depends alot on how you swing. I have a very high lag and the tendency to release way too fast through the ball. Gocchin, what do you think? Maybe the shaft is wrong for me? What head did you put the shaft in and did you tip it correctly for install? Installed with the right tipping it can be pretty hard to hook badly. Of course much does depend on how you swing. No shaft will totally eliminate hooks or slices only help reduce them.
