All three have the KBS Black-nickel wedge shafts.

Last year was the Epon X-wedges in 50/55/60 w/ no PW. Current set-up seems to be working out just fine w/out having to make any major adjustments. I find wedge play to incorporate a larger amount of feel than in standard iron play.

I'm just doing some wedge research and comparing typical lofts carried in bags.

With the move to many strong lofted sets and PW's that have lofts like traditional 9 irons, it has forced many players to change their thinking when carrying wedges.

Please post here all the wedges you carry, including the PW and what all their lofts are.

I carry a PW (47), gap wedge (52), sand wedge (56) and lob wedge (60). All Miura's with KBS Tour black nickel shafts.

My Epon Type-S PW is the standard 46*

Callaway X-Tour 52 is bent to 51*

Callaway X-Tour 58 is bent to 57* <-----This won't be in the bag for much longer. I'm thinking of replacing it with a 56*

I used to use the Vokey a lot from 100 yards in...but since getting the Gauge PW the Vokey has seen very little play. Not sure if it is due to weaker lofts of the Gauge or that the Gauge set is shorter.. but distance control is much better compared to the X-14 pro PW.

The pitching wedge that comes with my MC-102s has 47° loft and I've left it that way.

My Fourteen MT-28 J.Spec II has 52° loft like a traditional old standard pitching wedge or a modern gap wedge.

Here's where it gets tricky. The 52 is so stable at impact, it almost feels like my 1977 Spalding Executive which, as a thirty year old feeling my oats, I could jump all over without fear of mis-hitting. I would love to buy the matching Fourteen 58, even though I'd be hitting fewer full swing shots with it.

But the Fourteen 58 has about 10° bounce--the Japanese seem to love their bounce in higher lofted wedges--which means I wouldn't be able to play my little drop-dead flip from way forward in my stance. I go with a Vokey 58-4 or a Scratch 58-PDG. (I also loved the ancient Cleveland 691 58-0, but mine's completely worn.) The Vokey is the better full swing club, but despite its minimal bounce, it has a wide sole which adds bounce if you lay it open. For that type of shot, the Scratch wedge is better. I would love a Fourteen 58-4 because that little cavity on the back creates an impact feel that I prefer--but they don't make one.

For most of my golf life I've bagged a dedicated sand iron for bunker play only. I love the extremely curved leading edge that these clubs have which displaces less sand in the splash and thus finds less resistance. I am for now giving this up to experiment with draw and fade drivers. (I want to hit driver more than four or five times as I've been doing at my club .)

55 & 60 always

I have 13 clubs locked in with 5 alternatives for the 14th club depending on course set up and conditions, including 50* & 64* wedges.

i dropped my 60* even though i only have 12/13 clubs in my bag. for me a 51 57 is all i need with the level of game i bring to the course. tried the 60 for a year but it wasnt saving me additional strokes so i just dropped it

if its 47* or 48* (miura or callaway xtours) its 52* and 58*

if PW is 49* (nike tour blades) its either 56* and 60* or 53* and 58* (depending on the course, high greens with bunkers around the greens (56* and 60*) else its 53* and 58*

For me, 48, 54, 60 or 48, 56, 60 depending on which bag I select that day.

i agree, BUT my bags may change but generally the wedges remain the same. once i get accustomed to a certain wedge i will stick to it til it needs to be replaced. im very sensitive with my wedges.

anyway i see your back to your epon wedges? do you still use your chiks?

I've recently dropped my 3-Iron from my bag (keeping a 2-Iron) and added a 4th wedge to my set. I'm using the Fourteen M28 V4 Wedges with KBS Black Nickel Shafts in the 48, 52, 56 (high bounce) and 60 Degree models.
