pd711
I'm looking at a set of Epon 701s, One thing I've noticed is the high praises that these clubs receive after intial trial(long hitting, forgiving, high trajectory), but how many are still playing them ? If you've had experience with them could you tell me your thoughts regarding your experiences and why you moved away from them. I'm trying to decide between the Yamaha Inpres, Tourstage 701G, and the Epon Thanks

I'm trying to decide between the Yamaha Inpres, Tourstage 701G, and the Epon Thanks Keeping in mind that the aF-701 is one of TSG's best selling irons I'm sure a lot of people are still playing them. I played them all the way up to last week and I tried every other iron in Japan last year and none could compare in performance and forgiveness. I only changed for the sake of changing. Compared to the Yamaha and TS the AF-701 are considerably more forgiving and longer. Very much an automatic point and shoot iron.

aberdeenlad
Ive just sold a set of 701's with eagle21 shafts. I just couldnt get used to the lack of feel from the clubs and the noise that they produced was a bit on the tinny side for my liking. I have gone back to the 301's and am much happier with the feel and the " noise " Ive also bought a set of R7 forged heads, awaiting their arrival and trying to figure out the shaft for them ! nicwyc
I just bought a set of AF701 from TSG and frankly speaking i won't change to another set of irons for a long time!! Although i haven't tried the other brands as you listed (as they are not sold here in Aus) I tried brands like Nike VR, Callaway, TM etc and they are no match with Epon.
