corky3
Anyone with some time under their belt with the F Series fujikura?I have a 70 gram on the way to test out. Matt Sorry I can't help, but I too am interested.... I play a 7V05 Rombax in a Sonartec 3 wood ( Rory McIlroy plays one in his driver) and love the thing, currently looking at changing driver shafts and Rombax is up there in my interests. The F series seems to fly really low under the radar....... why? ... is it the white shaft/graphics? they aren't really to my taste but I can get over the looks if the performance is good. Where do they fit in the general scheme of things too? The W is mid bend/mid launch does this overlap with the F? It kinda looks like (to me) that the motore/speeder is more the direction Fujikura want to move in, so does that mean the Rombax will die out? Maybe I should just get a 6V05 and be done with it.... having said that I have an 'Ilima coming as a side experiment....... loved the feel of the Kai'li but a little low launching to me. Shafts...... don't ya just love 'em?

For drivers it does pretty much what they advertise, feels good, has a noticeable kick, goes high. Big carry, not so much roll and tipping is a good idea if you want to firm it up. I've tried the 46g Stiff Flex for maybe 1-2 rounds in one of the drivers i used. If you have a smooth tempo a mid 90's swing speed and your bad shot is a fade or slice It's a worthy option. fairwayfinder
Thanks, I'll get it in today I hope. I'll tip the stiff about 3/4" and stick it in my 5050 14.5 adams head and see how it goes. Matt
fairwayfinder
Wow played this shaft today. Took the 7F09 X and installed it tipped 1/2" in a 5050 14.5 deg adams head. I hit it 8 times on the range, all off the ground. I don't usually hit this club off the ground but on the range I hit a nice mid ball flight Hit 3 dead straight, 2 baby draws, and a few baby fades all on command. I was very excited to try it on the course. I hit driver all day off the tee, but hit two 3 woods on par 5s. Both were excellent! Very easy to load but with plenty control. The shaft kicks hard and sends the ball screaming. Hit one 250 into a huge wind. I have never hit a 3 wood that far off the deck and I had a solid 15mph right into my face. This shaft is the real deal!
