+TourSpecGolfer
Our Tester is a 10.5 with Tour AD DI-6 Stiff flex at 44.5", I have not had the chance to hit it yet. I am most interested in the feel but it may be too much driver for me, The AF151 is more of a fit to my performance level than this one. I guess I will have to wait to hit it and see. I've been toying with the idea of a TS 703 or maybe a Yamaha, this needs to be added to the list.

Hi Corky, Your looking at top clubs imo, TS703 is not designed for the same level of player that this AF-102 is. The AF-151 would compare better to the TS-703. In regards to Yamaha what model you thinking of? Also look at the PRGR drivers as well. TS, PRGR, Yamaha will feature a bit more cutting edge tech while the Epon will have a more conservative approach to the design but be extremely well balanced. Im almost certain they are all made at Endo except the TS-703.

The Yamaha is the V201 Inpres which looks more like the X-Drive range of TS drivers. Anyways thanks for the info.

pabsquid
Wow, that thing looks sick. I don't even have my new shaft in the Yamaha V201 tourmodel I picked up, and think this thing looks appealing. Would love to see more photos! pabsquid
I am 'unnaturally' excited...........got one coming with a fire express! Mint. Am excited to gear your feedback on that club when it comes in. I decided to go V201 Tourmodel with a p9003x over the fire express due to the heavier weight and low spin. Did you end up with the 75 SX or the X? The yamaha looks like it is a slightly shallower face with more forward center of gravity and the new epon is deeper face, lower/deeper COG. Would be interested as well to see what differing kind of results the two design choices make - I noticed the stock shafts are the same.... Spoon
very excited for this one. this will be interesting, our tester will be on the heavier side tipping the scales at almost 205grams and with a handpicked loft of closer to 8*. cannot wait for more pics

That will be a low trajectory driver my man!

Not sure yet......shipping commences 25 Feb so I have a week or so. I am currently undecided as to whether 8.5* (probably hand picked to 8*) or 9.5*. I will be testing my 101 IP with the F7M2 X back in it this week. The current shaft I've been testing is very easy to hit, nice launch, but too much spin for me. Similarly, I am very tempted to drop a couple of grams on the shaft and go with the 65X as opposed to the 75-80g driver shafts I've been using for a long time, the 65X is close to 70g. BigEasy
Good to hear that Epon finally is offering 8.5* loft. That makes me give it another try. I didn't like the high trajectory of the 101. Can anyone compare the face depths of the 101 and 102? The same face depth or slightly shallower face will be perfect. BigEasy, I've actually asked what the face height is, Epon are on leave for the lunar new year and golf show so I wont have an answer until next week, Chris may already know the face height? In relation to trajectory, a shallower face height would increase trajectory?
pabsquid
Yeah, I believe typically deeper face designs lower the trajectory and reduce spin at the same time. I would think that if the depth is anything nearing TM superdeep specs, the proportionally tall face plate between the rigid top crown and sole plate would give you a nice low trajectory and keep you in what you're looking for while staying with a fairly neutral bend profile shaft. Maybe 8.5 would do it.

sathundon
The driver looks very nice. I have asked the epon distributor here in Thailand about the price and they infromed me that the price will be approximately USD850+/- (head only). Can't wait to have it.
