bogeydog
Anyone have or test this combo? Or anything with the Fire Express?
golf4fun
I have a Kamui 456 w/the quadra fire express, I've only had a chance to hit it twice due to winter. I was really impressed the feel and dispersion, but until I get out and play alot I won't know if its going to beat out my current driver. bogeydog
How did you set the Kamui up?
golf4fun
How did you set the Kamui up? 9.5 nuetral, swingweight is D3. I really liked the feel of the combo, can't imagine not switching to this combo once I get a few rounds in!

golf4fun
Which flex Quadra and what overall length? I went with an s-flex,44.75". My ss is 103-105mph, smooth tempo, I was worried the shaft might be a little soft, but its plenty stiff.

golf4fun
Think you could have managed with a softer flex? No, I usually like shafts that play stiff for control. When I first got the driver and flexed the shaft I thought it was going to be to soft, it kicks more through impact than what I'm use to but its very stable and the dispersion is very good. I believe once I get out on a regular basis this is going to be a awesome combo!
idrive
Bob, I haven't tried the Quadra yet.. sure would like to. I am so happy with my current driver set up it has really killed the desire to ho a new one. Which I didn't think was possible. The cost of the shaft makes it hard to pull the trigger as well when you haven't had a chance to hit it. THAT is what makes me want to get one so I can say what it does and if it is any better(IMO). Problem is I'd like to try the crazy shaft too.
EPONfreak
hahaha me too! When I get my 102 (soon) it will have a CB50 as recommended in the fitting thread. I've also been looking for an excuse to hit a 151 so likely to get one of those with a fire express to compare. I agree its difficult to do when the current set up is performing. If either of the above can beat the bombs being produced by my current 101 IP / fineone combo I'll be one happy camper to say the least! butterfly320
Since there are two lines with identical name, how would us tell them apart besides those available at TSG. I know many places carry Kamui but did not realize that there are two.
gocchin
Since there are two lines with identical name, how would us tell them apart besides those available at TSG. I know many places carry Kamui but did not realize that there are two. The other is just Kamui and they offer completely different line of products ie Typhoon line. The one we carry (though we can get the other one too), is the original Kamui Works which makes the Asiri and Silver and Gold lines.
smartgazz
I just received my new driver 10* Kamui 456 with Quadrd Fire Express 55 SR flex. I would say this is one of the best combination that I ever play (Played Kaili 60R with R9 MAX). The key is the consistancy, the dispersion is very small. Shaft has very good kick and easy to hit. I have played one round with this and very impress with the performance. Will report more once I have a chance to play more. Will
supo
ive hit the quadras in these heads over the last yr. akira m109 prototype ..diablo tour -..adams a4-..srixon z-tx ..burner tp - yonex nextage ..callaway erc3 ..diablo 10* .tour stage p51 . all the other shafts seem to be ending up in my " what am i going to do with these now bag" ive got in the corner ,the qaudra XS is my perfect shaft ,its got no side bias and it sling shots the ball with fantastic feel , tight dispersion ,and great distance, and the sound is lovely. for me... its well above all these others good shafts . the rombax 6vo5..graphite design DI s...roddio pentacross 6wba..ozik x con machline premium .. diamana blue..ali islei.... kai li.. i just decided to only use this shaft in my drivers as i believe its that much better. all the other s just dont have that xtra zing the fire express does , and i feel cheated i havnt hit the quadra when i come in from a round. i find the rombax the next best shaft follwed by the ozik md7.. then the roddio and the daimana blue the rest are distant behind , yes even tigers new toy the GD DI. files in a way back. as for prefomance in these heads , the longest set up is the adams by a MILE. then the yonex thats a low cannon. the adams hits higher trajectory bombs. the srixon doesnt do it justice i dont think. the callaway was lovely, has great moveability ,easily the best driver to move left / right. the diablo tour was low piercing and staight a gvery good set up. but the head just isnt what the others are . the diablo neutral was a total waste ,short ballooning crap. however with a rodio in it that diablo is good. (go figure.) the akira was a bomber but it had the stiff shaft in it , prob. a little too soft i thought, but terrific feel . just a little too erratic at times. the p-51 is like a worm burner i dont like the head its only 425 cc but boy that thing is low. prefect for NSW on a windy day. so that leaves the TM tp . which i just set up on the weekend. and im hooked. this has been the best all round head on that shaft . i just bought another 9.5 to go with the 10.5 that seems to be my driver , all round super solid . plenty long mid/high flight ( iwas using the 10.5) . ive reinvented the wheel . cant add too much more. its the best. but its exxy. (worth ever centxxx xxx, sorry yen)
