-I currently game a i15 with a Fubuki 73. While it is a great driver in its own right, I felt it just doesn't have the feel that is my most important criteria.

-All the rest of my sticks are JDM with a empasis on feel so I decided to get a JDM driver as well.

-After consulting with Gocchin and with input from Bogeydog and Pabsquid, I faxed in a custom order for a 2010 Yamaha Inpres X V201 driver with a GD DI-7 shaft.

-I was originally leaning towards the V201 Tour head which looks cool and workable but figured could use the extra forgiveness of the bigger V201 head.

-I am informed that it will take 2 weeks so I will post reviews and pics once I get it here in LA.

In the actual city of Los Angeles itself Rancho Park is a nice track but rounds are known the last close to 6 hours. Shoot me a PM next time your here and I'll take you to my club and we can compare notes on JDM clubs :)

-So the driver finally arrived yesterday and got in a round at Sherwood CC

-I'm coming off of Ping i15 with Fubuki 73s

-Feel: Most solid driver I've hit. No hollow feeling.

-Control: I opted for the DI-7 and the weight helps steady the swing

-Visual looks: Although both heads are 460cc, the Yamaha head looks more compact

Overall very satisfied with purchase.

Can you comment on headshape at address? IS it pear shape or rounder (as seems to be the norm with Japanese Drivers).

Yamaha's are always more traditional shaped with a higher back rather than round or big and shallow back like most other brands. This is why even the D series appeals to better golfers wanting some forgiveness and not just the average golfer.
