I read a post on the latest epon wedges which whilst everyone "liked" the 208 KGXs they were not forgiving and were very difficult to open up because of their grind. However the latest releases are, from the reviewer far more tolerant. I cannot now find the post (I'm sure it was in this forum) and I'd like to know if they have been reviewed and if so is that the right conclusion? That being the case does anyone have an idea on cost? I'm using and loving the 208s but would welcome the new more tolerant version of these wedges thanks Edited August 20, 201014 yr by smigin
August 23, 201014 yr comment_161485 i did a review on them before. in short, they are significantly easier to use than the 208. they are especially easy to use when the club is open. i open my 54 and 58 a lot most especially on tricky shots like roughside on a fast downhill green. never had the confidence with the 208. this one is a big improvement over the 208. only downside is the spin. it has less spin which is most noticable hitting off the rough. but id choose less spin with more forgiveness vs more spin less forgiving. good luck check the proshop for pricing
August 24, 201014 yr comment_161491 Thank's spoon, I agree the 210 is more forgiving than the 208KGX model. I consider the spin to be average compared to the other conforming wedges on the market.
August 25, 201014 yr comment_161502 I've had the 208kgx in my bag a while back and just replaced it with the 210s. i had no problems with the 208, but after playing with the 210s i noticed a somewhat significant ease of striking and forgiveness. I do not notice the lower spin becuase my swing speed is in the 90mphs. If it produces less spin, it is not noticable to me. the Epon wedges look high quality compared to the other clubs i used and i get lots of comments about them.
