Mybluc4
Custom ordered and received my new Epon 210 KGK Wedge. Ordered it 3/4 inches longer than standard, 52 degree loft with the Nippon 950 lightweight steel shaft with R Flex. This wedge is just beautifully finished, lines up to the target well, has a very classic, comfortable look at address and with the 14 degree bounce, stops on a dime despite the new grooves. I never dreamed of spending quite so much on a wedge, but after all the years playing it was time for something special. Still learning all the ways to employ this stick, but am having fun using it on long chips as well as short and long pitches. I'm a 7.9 handicap index and purchased the Epon Gap to replace my Ping ISI BeCu Gap that I had in the bag forever. It took a lot of heart to make the change, but am very satisfied and feel this club is well worth it in terms of quality, customization and playability. Anything else on the way? Yup, the Epon's are nice and soft. easy to work the ball for me. I have a feeling lots of people will be staring at your bag :)
rjklein4470
I really wanted these wedges, but at the time I needed them NO ONE had them, so I settled for Kenmochi's. Love the Kenmochi's but they were a little hard to get use to, the 60* has onset and seeing my 60* shape a shot from right to left was well wierd at first. But tell me more about the 210's I might have to get a set. Has anybody hit both the kenmochi's and the epon's?

Has anybody hit both the kenmochi's and the epon's? i have the kenmochi and the epon 208s the kenmochi have a fantastic grind ,probably the most versatile off all the wedges i use, the toe grind hleps enormously when u need to hit pancake shots that just die off the toe , and the shape frames the ball nicely. but he spin isnt what other wedges produce, and if anything these tend to turn over with full shots, which isnt ideal for a wedge!. i want to take my epons in and get them ground to the same grind as kenmochi, then i think ill have a mean assssssss set of wedges. the epons 208..., are a great shape, beautiful feel , but they lack variety. a meld of these is ideal for me, oh yea in austraia on hard pan lie the kenmochis perform really well. ive got a set down there for emergencies. bec of the grind you can lay these open and slice the blazes out of balls a lot easier than most others ive used, yururi are great for that as well . Unfortunately, the wife's birthday is coming up and she wants a new watch. My youngest just got accepted to college and as anyone who has kids know, college is like putting a vaccum cleaner in your bank account. So, the new driver will have to wait. Or you can put the driver on your christmas wish list and get to hit your new driver on Christmas day golf.
