Where is the New Titleist 910 Japan driver made?

I hit some balls with 910D2 today, and I really liked it. But the club was made in China.

So I was wondering where the Japan model is made. I just checked Titleist Japan website and they say it is made in Japan.

But is it just assembled in Japan or they really make the head in Japan?

Anybody has answer?

Titleist has a very tight relationship with Endo, and Endo makes the VG3 driver as well as forges all their irons here. I'll check with our Titleist rep and Endo and find out.

The 910....is ENDO FORGED!? (potentially?)

I somehow doubt it...Mostly because it looks identical to the US/EU version. The VG3 is a different story, that driver is made especially for the the Japanese market, and looks like no other Titleist driver. What will differentiate the JDM 910 is of course the standard shafts on choice, you get genuine Ahina, Kaili and Attas T2 in japan, whereas in the US you get "made for" versions and the Aldila RIP..

I thought exactly same, but on the Titleist Japan website, they say the origin is Japan. (On US model, they clearly say, the head and shaft made in China) Also, the lie of the head is different than US version.

the 910's for the Japanese market are made in China as well as they don't feature a forged head like the VG3.

Many manufacturers now write made in Japan/Made in China depending on the parts and the 910's shafts are all made in Japan (especially the upgrade shafts) but alas the head is made in China.

if you really like the club after actually hitting it why does it matter to you where its made ?!

I would want to know because there is about a 54% difference in the price from China to Japan.

910D2 is not a JDM model so there is no price difference on it so thats not the point. the point i was trying to make is if you managed to find a club you really like where its made shouldnt really be that important compared to the fact that you really like the club and it works great for you. i mean thats what its all about, right ?!

Nope, not for some people. Just knowing that something has been made the best posisble way, by people who actually get a decent, first world salary can make a big difference to some people..Especially when the price difference sometimes is not that huge, meaning that you and I know that the savings from producing in the socialist paradise that is China is NOT being passed on to the consumer..IF I could choose between 2 identical driver heads for example, and one was made in China and the other MIJ, and the MIJ was say 20-30 percent more expensive I would actually buy the MIJ head.

And I think the whole system of sending know-how, technical expertise and transfering of technology to a communist state that is hellbent on copying and have no respect for intellectual property is insane, and very dangerous in the long run.

none of that 'commie under your bed' stuff has anything to do with golf or club selection for playing the game but if that aspect is so important to you buy JDM specific models which in this case would be VG3 and it might be better in every way imaginable but its a different club from 910D2 that guy hit and liked. if there was a JDM specific version of 910D2 it would still be a different club.

i'm not arguing that. JDM gear is superior that way, probably same way as German cars that were made in Germany. problem is once you ramp up the volume you gonna have quality issues every now and then thats just how it is. so you have problems like Nike drivers made in China having marks stamped slightly off few years ago and you have PRGR Egg made in Japan finish problem reported on this forum. these things happen once the volume goes up and they are more likely to happen to high volume China production than low volume niche market JDM gear. Endo makes some stuff in Thailand and nobody seems to be complaining about the quality or having second thoughts about that. the point for me is if i try a club that i like alot i'm gonna buy it and i would buy that exact club that i hit even if its a demo club vs fresh off the rack i'd pay full price for that demo if needed because that is what i hit and liked coz another club off the rack might be just slightly different as well as JDM specific model of it being slightly different and neither would be the club i liked. call me insane but i think its just too difficult to find clubs that feel right and like they belong and if you found one i'd say dont let go off it no matter where its made or by whom.

With Japan's meticulous attention to detail, i'd much rather have it made in Japan. It is a peace of mind.
