Ryoma Vs Kamui

I don't know how to start. I was at the range last night brought both my trusted Kamui and my new Baby (Ryoma). I was scared that the Ryoma was a disappointment therefore i was warming up with my kamui. I missed how easy to hit (as i was using my holiday set in OZ) the Kamui with such a nice trajectory.

Now it was the Ryoma's turn. OMG it was easy as hell and ball kinda balloon ( in a good way) like an aeroplane taking off with a good roll. Even with my Kamui when i first got it , i needed time to get use to it. With this one is almost instant automatic driver. I was starting to get comfortable and boy i love it.

I took it out for a morning 9 holes this morning. I did not pure it on the first hole but i was a far as my golf buddy who had a pretty good shot. After the 2nd hole, the rest was history! THe roll on this thing is simply amazing. Lets see whether it still works wonders this wkend.

Thanks for the recommendation T.

B,

Since you have identical shaft on both, do you have a preference of one over the other? Love to try your new Ryoma sometime since we play the same shaft.

R,

actually they are different flex, i use my old R flex on it just to try. I am thinking of getting an SR flex on it. If you want i can bring it down to HK for you to try in April.

Too much trouble just to bring one club unless you bring a whole set and play a few games with me at HKGC.

You're very welcome. As I said, the driver is simply so easy to hit which is why overall distance is up as you do not get penalized for miss hits. I liked the Kamui but the Ryoma is superior in technology and design.

Seriously, my game is in such shamble nowadays, a cannon wouldn't help.

I also use a Kamui driver and have been following the Ryoma story since Tario introduced it. Let me first say that I am very happy with my Kamui driver and have hit some monsters (by my modest standards) with it. I appreciate the 'forgiveness' of the Ryoma and the benefits that a bigger sweet spot brings, but all things being equal, ie equally good shots on the identical shafts, etc, would the Ryoma be longer than the Kamui?

Frank, i felt that my quadra shaft was too soft , so i did change my Kamui's shaft to the Ryoma the SR flex. the distance is not so much of a difference (there is an increase) but lots easier. So if you are comfortable with your Kamui stick to it for a while until the honey moon period is over. LOL.

Haha, that is so true, I'm too drunk in love with the Kamui at the moment to give it up. Good thing golf clubs have less rights than women; I've put in an order for a Ryoma and would be looking forward to some menage et trois action! ;)

I love Kamui drivers, the ability to have it totally customized and hand built for you is something no other company can do. That said everyone is mirroring my exact feelings on the Ryoma, sucker is forgiving.

I too get some balloons with the stock shaft. It needs a Crazy! A few days ago I played Hirakawa with Tario & TourSpecGirl, we all played Ryoma's TourSpecGirl picked up like 10+ yards from the driver switch R2 11.5 mens version.

I didn't pick up distance because the shaft did not fit me, ballooned and the fact that there was unreal wind in the face didn't help either. I'm ordering a V-Spec with a Crazy this week.
