Jerry in China
All right. Got mine. Today is raining. My driver went to get the club for me. Took him 2 hours as he did something else. Finally had mine in Hand. Excited. So, I opened the box... Disappointed. The cover is bad design. Zipper is no good for a headcover, too much work to get in and out. And the look of the head, and the look of the shaft, compare to the flashy looking EMS and GD shaft, disappointed. Had a meeting during dinner, only catch the driving range 5 minutes before it closed. Really want to hit some balls.... I am eased off. Very very nice sound. Like a click. Very very nice feeling. The shaft is very comfortable. It makes me feel that the shaft is more compact than the GD. Compare to Crazy, the GD feels all over the place, but crazy is rather like a knife cut through air. Do not know why i feel like so. Trajectory wise, pretty good flight. My drive always fly high, thus I am picking the 8.5 to get a low trajectory. Looks nice, penetrating. so how about the distance? gee, I do not know. not at all...:'( It was raining and too dark to see.... Sigh, cannot sleep well tonight.... Sigh, cannot sleep well tonight.... i know how you feel. nothing like feeling dissapointed in the range, im sure you are so excited to test the club for real in actual course. im surprised about your comments on ryoma actual driver. i have not seen one in real life so i cannot comment on the quality. i think you should game it first, hitting in range is a very different animal. im sure those with real world experience of ryoma and crazy can share some inputs with you. good luck
Eca
The way you're describing how the shaft is performing seem to indicate good things. Your initial disappoint may turn into delight by tomorrow! We all know the anguish of having to wait. Got my club shafted with quadra yesterday, dried today but couldn't squeeze range time & straight to a round tomorrow... Just like waiting for eternity. Jerry in China
Do not take me wrong. The quality is good. It is just, not flashy to eyes... :) very detailed work, but conservative design. Nothing special, and nothing standing out. Just another driver, I would say, from the look. But that is compare to so many other drivers put a lot of attention to the outlook of the club:) And i was not even on the range. But in my office room...:) In the range, I feel pretty good. really good on the feeling and trajectory. It will rain again tomorrow... A competition will come up on Friday. Really want to test it on the course. really really want. That is why cannot sleep...
Jerry in China
yeah, like waiting for eternity. man, think about it. Everyone is talking about this head. It should jump out on me like a monster....hahahaha... It is a good head, i know it from the feeling. I just want to go out in the dark, and shoot a ball, then using a torch to figure out the distance....

Jerry in China
me heading out to the range in 3 hours. still raining. cannot play. but can drive. Let me pray
gocchin
The looks are simple, without a doubt, I had mentioned this many times. I actually dislike the look of the sole. The workmansh and quality is very good though. Looks are also very subjective, I much prefer the black Crazy shafts over the orange Tour AD shafts with distracting rings. If looks and flashiness matter so much to you then you should be buying Honma (^_^) Its the performance that counts, don't let the headcover and its plain looks influence you so much. You give the sense you are disappointed because of the looks but then you said it sounds nice, feels good and flies with good trajectory and the shaft is like a knife cutting through air.... that all sounds pretty good to me. I don't think Jerry was disappointed at the range C, he just could not see.

supo
forget the head cover.., yes its shiiiiiiiiiity and cheap get a DWD magnetic one they are the NUTS... forget the shafts look. its a crazy .its rocks concentrate on what happens when u hit this thing off centre which is what 99% of us mere mortals do and see where the ball ends up. im sure u will over look a cpl of the displeasing visual inadequacies you have mentioned. get range finder and mark off where the ball is. be very surprised if its not out there with most others uve ever hit. i hit a career shot on sunday with mine. never been anywhere near where the ball ended up no where close. i over came my what ifs that second forward...............,
+TourSpecGolfer
Nice! Hot = higher launching Black = head squares up with ease! The combo FOR ME anyway equals Crazy Distance! Hope it works out for you!
Jerry in China
Gocchin is right. I was not disappointed at the range. The feel, sound, etc are really good. I liked it. It was just not seeing where the ball land. I got a nice magnetic cover. So cover no problem. i am all fine with the look. Just really want to see the performance Heading out now. Jerry in China
It is very surprising today. Here is why... I STILL CANNOT SEE WHERE THE BALL LANDED.... Well, other than that, just like yesterday. Perfect contact, solid impact, nice kick of the shaft. So comfortable. Compare to the Epong + GD, the trajectory is lower, (well, 8.5 VS 9.5). The only thing is that my ball is little bit towards the left, and a draw. Well, my natural swing is draw. And the Ryoma is 10 gram lighter than my Epon/GD. So, left ball is expected. Compare to Epon, the flight is so penetrating... Tomorrow, I will join a cross China competition, between upscale golf clubs. I am thinking about taking both, just like Phil... Hahaha.... Well, to sum it up, I believe that I will be super with this ryoma, besides the under tune black shaft and head.... hahahaha.... What is the head size of Ryoma? 425? Jerry in China
BTW, i guess the reason why I feel Ryoma is such a outstanding head is because of the size of the head. It is much smaller than the 460 that i used to.
gocchin
Maybe you can't see where it landed because it went too far? (^_^) As for the trajectory, thats what you wanted, a more penetrating ball flight and the Crazy certainly has more control than your DI right? It is 460cc by the way. I guess it does not look huge which is a good thing again?
gocchin
Also if you are going with a draw, then that is okay... if you are too much left, you might have had to go with my other suggestion for you which was the CB46.
Jerry in China
it is fine. I just need more time with it. I might hit too hard on it. I will adjust my swing a little bit. It is 460? It looks much smaller than the EMS. And the Crazy shaft feels so great. Such a compact feeling. The DI is a bit lousy compared to it. I will just be super with this driver... It might have went too far. Because the end of the range is a down slope where I cannot see. I decided to take it to the real competition tomorrow. I just like the feeling of the impact that transfer through crazy to my hand. The "Da" sound is really solid. I have to admit, I love this driver. And tomorrow, it will give some people, including me, some shock.... hahahaha Btw, i got the WIn Win head cover. No problem

Jerry in China
what does that 7.4 mean? And what is the CPM of it?
FatMan
what does that 7.4 mean? And what is the CPM of it? "7.4" is the flex rating that Crazy uses. Description is in the proshop: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/Crazy-Black-46-Shafts-2 How did your driver perform on it's first time out?
Jerry in China
haha. I will write the feedback tonight. Despite my late drinking night watching the first round of master, I made the cut into the nationwide inter-country club golf test. The game will be on 5.9-5.11 However, I did not use the Ryoma.... Yesterday, the game was on a short and narrow course. I desided to use the old EMS + GD. I do not want to play the mind game switching to a new club in a big game... haha I am at the course now, and will shoot the ryoma first time in the field in one hour. gocchin
Jerry I just merged your other topic with this one, may as well keep all your feedback in the same topic. You should have tried the Ryoma in the tournament! You said it yourself the Ryoma was very controlled and with good trajectory. Maybe it might have been too long for the short course? (^_^) As for CPM it depends on the finished club. I should check to see what yours was.
gbs
cant wait for your review, just like how excited i was when i first received it. had many shaft change since then but still curious to go for the CB 46 6.2 or 6.7 flex. HELPPPPP
Jerry in China
I did not use Ryoma in the tournament.... Because it is a game that I can win without any improvement in any thing. So I chose to not risk a club. And I used the old one. And here is the review as I used the combo today between a gamble game. We play Les vegas. ok. so, there are 18 holes. I won 1200. 100 per hole. So, that means, I won 15, and lost 3. Want me to say something about the drive... I did 4 to 5 bad drive, majorly because of the loft. With 8.5, if you do not get it up sweet, it will not perform... And it is the first time Ryoma goes to the field. I have to tee it up a bit higher than the EMS, that is normal as EMS is shallow. I feel excited. Well, so excited. I can shoot the ball so so far away from others.... hahahaha.... I used to have a huge carry, more than 260, but little roll. Now, I have the rolling... Although I am not driving every hole perfectly, I can see it come. When I mis hit, I hit on the shallow side, I guess that is because of the depth of the club. I will take this to the tournament next month. It will rock. I will hit an average of 300....hahahahhaha
