Posted May 17, 201113 yr comment_167069 Wedges are a vital link to scoring, so I am in the market to buy a quality wedge in 50* & 56* lofts to add to my bag. Trying to stay under $200 per club. Any suggestions? 50* will be a FULL swing hit straight on, and the 56* will be a partial hit, usually OPEN_FACED. DOES NOT NEED TO CONFORM...I'm just a hack that loves golf. (Also, Would LOVE to have the Royal Collection Limited DB Forged Proto if you have an extra set and want to trade or work something out...email me.)
May 17, 201113 yr comment_167076 i didnt like the waqy the epon sat ,they looked chunky , but they spun a lot. the yururi im a maasive fan of got plenty of his wedges al ldiffernt grinds , they spin likecrazy as well. the fourteens i felt were similar to the epon quite chunky , but great spin m28 v spec. ofthose id say check out the yururi range the seida and the tour , top stuff
May 17, 201113 yr comment_167078 You wouldn't notice chunkiness on wedges at address though. I'd rate the Epons easier to hit than the Miuras I'm presently using but the if you hit them sweet, the 49° y-grind and 56° k-grind are quite unbeatable, I'd imagine. Both spin a lot; I'm getting serious bites even on half pitches inside of 10, 20m. Heard all kinds of good things about Sky Dream Jump and ordered a couple; you might want to check those out too.
May 17, 201113 yr comment_167083 i can definatly notice chukiness at address, thats why i sold my epon 208s and my fourteen m28s u should see my tourstage x wedges they are like razor blades! and if u want spin, well i hit he crazy wedges on sat and im here to say , they spun twice as far as my kyoeis, which i thought impossible. these are utterly rediculous, id get a set of these and sell every other wedge i have , if they wernt ...................., 45,000 a pop..........! theres a limit to my madness ,and this is it. but il say i was just amazed hittting dead stop shots on articifiacl grass over 7 yards on practise mats. jawdropping.

You mean the Toyoshimas? Did you try the milled face or not? How would you rate them overall? I'm soooo tempted, but dropping a grand for a pair and then subject them to the kind of abuse my wedges take would make my heart bleed.
May 17, 201113 yr comment_167096 the milled face ones, i cant speak they are indescribale, they were they designers personal ones. wit hte crazy wedge shaft i hav never hit anything like them....................................................yet
May 17, 201113 yr comment_167100 Yup I play Crazy Wedges Prototypes. Wow it's been 13 months they have been in the bag! That's a new record. Yururi Tour's are great if you play from tight lie's and have decent ball striking. Yururi Chili wedges are a bit more rounded, forgiving with more bounce, and Rupas is super easy to hit, one of the best from the bunker. Yonex makes a killer wedge as well. I never got along with Epon wedges ever since they got all futuristic looking.

Looking for a killer 58 or 60* that I can open up for tight lies. 8 handicap, so decent ball striker....but want the more easy to hit wedge selection. Why make this tough game of golf tougher. Which would you recommend? http://www.tourspecgolf.com/Yonex-2011-EZONE-Forged-Wedge-Head-Only
May 18, 201113 yr comment_167124 the rc protos look pretty hot. never owned a yururi but have owned a lot of kyoei and vega raw wedges and they are awesome. i was a fan of the epon 210s but actually prefer the 208. i game a 50 bent to 52 and a mystery 56 raw which i am really loving! but if i had to choose, any of the sdj and the rc prtoto set. those are nice
May 18, 201113 yr comment_167126 I'm late to this topic but the Fourteen V5 is absolute winner. Easy to hit, tons of spin even though its conforming. Can do the sand, rough, tight lies you name it. If you don't like that the new Royal Collection DB Forged is on the same level as the Fourteen just with more bounce, but it has unreal spin as well, is very easy to use, very easy to open up. Either wedge is extremely versatile. Feel of both is off the charts as well.

Since I'm in the US, I can not try these out....can you help me narrow the choice. Would you go and mix and match these, or go with only the Fourteen or only the Royal Collection DB? September 4, 201113 yr comment_170324 How do the Crazy's spin compared to the non conforming Sky Dream Jump wedges of a couple years ago and Gold's Factory wedges? Like I need to know..... of all the wedges this site has ever listed, what spins the absolute most?

For me, raw spin, Gold's Factory Need stock in the Golf ball you play as they ruin a ball with anything close to a full shot.
