Eca
Hi all, I want to stick to this setup. 52* - gap, 80-110y, chipper 58* - sand / strong lob Any recommendations as to bounce, brand/model, grind? It can be conforming or not. The 58* as a sandwedge, any real easy to use ones? Thanks E

I use the Cleveland CG15s and they are really userfriendly. The only thing Ive noticed is that the 52 can be abit "hot" for me, and sometimes fly much further than I expect. I use the US versions, so Ive been thinking about getting the softer forged ones, something like this is probably perfect: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/Cleveland-CG15-Forged-Japan-Only-wedge
+TourSpecGolfer
Hey 52/58 thats my gig as well. There are so many wedges out there it really depends on what sort of wedge game you play. Conditions etc..?

That japan cg15 looks very nice.

Conditions etc..? Conditions pretty normal in terms of fairway, in between fluffy & tight. Sand is also average coarseness. I do open a fair the face a fair bit so need heel relief? Come to think of it, I have always used 56 sand wedge and since going to 58/10, my bunker play suffered. Maybe I need more bounce?

Spoon
52 and 56 for me, solved the bounce problem. 56 has a bounce of around 6, so i open it up a little. i hardly use the 56 for full shots so opening up depending on my desired traj has helped a lot. for wedges its a personal thing, too many to single one particular brand out
Blader-X
If you want more bounce but still with a very playable wedge, Royal Collection DB Forged Proto. I use the 56 degree with 13 degrees of bounce. This is an ideal club from the sand but I'm also able to use it from tight lies, fluffy lies with ease. Opening the face poses no problem as well. I attribute the sole grind to making this one wedge so versatile. Between this and my Fourteen, the RC is the most versatile of the two. The more I read the responses the more Im realizing my prob, greenside bunkers. I think being used to 56, I had to open more which effectively increases it's already high bounce. Since my move to 58/10, I'm not opening as much because of weaker loft hence playing with a lot less bounce. Is this a correct deduction hence I either go back to a 56/12 or go 58/13+ bounce. With the latter which is the more flexible grind ie from what make/model.
MatthewC
Lately i noticed that the matching wedges in my set does not do my short game justice. I'm switching back to something i can work the ball with like Yururi, clevleands, or vokey. Not sure...will do research.
golfva28
The 588 forged wedges are conforming? I've seen the conforming gunmetal 588 C (that appears to be cast) and the forged 588's that have the old zip groove logo, not the "tour zip groove" logo. Anybody?
