Chanaa
Hi, am fairly new to the forum, but have been following gti forever. Looking to get a new driver...crazy 460 or ryoma. Eca
Welcome to the forum. I got the Ryoma but haven't tried Crazy. Ryoma is a great head. From the threads Jbeam & Ryoma are among the hottest & crazy is also up there. Supo67 for 1 will give you a good idea as he has hit all of them. supo
Crazy 460 is higher spin higher launch massive square face for belting the ball ryoma has a more compact face working isnt easy as the power tail is so solid and squares the face up so well dead straight low mid flight perfect mix carry and roll both are excelkent crazy looks a lot more classy ryoma looks cheap scuffs easily but boy oh boy does it play get both! gocchin
Both are good but if you want max forgiveness then the Ryoma is the way to go, it also spins lower. Reason why is its a bit more high tech than the Crazy with much thinner walls and that huge booster weight in the back. Both are very nice though... yes get both. taibo
I recently got the ryoma with crazy shaft. It is a nice drive with small fairways. For some strange reason, I always wanted tee off with epon that I got from stew. Can't beat that feeling. Easy to work the ball too. I might need few more rounds to tame that ryoma breast. supo
its a differnt stlye of club completetly the epon 101 is a lot more workable and a lot more feeling the ryoma is an aim and shoot . and it goes pretty darn straight most of the time. as long as ur alignmnet is right i find i hadlry ever miss where im lining up to. (which is not straight a lot of the time) i just wantot swap the shaft over in a cpl and get adiffernt feeling, i think im missing out on distance with the current set up. Chanaa
Sadly living in hong kong, cant try any of those before buying. Sounds like ryoma has my name all over it. How does i play compared to my current czy ly46 / epon 152 set up.
gbs
Sadly living in hong kong, cant try any of those before buying. Sounds like ryoma has my name all over it. How does i play compared to my current czy ly46 / epon 152 set up. Trust me Living in Indonesia is even harder to get stuff in. I had the LY and 151 not sure how much difference is the 152. I would say that the RYoma is way easier. I have changed many shafts on my Ryoma starting from TJ 46 by crazy Quadra FE 55 R then the SR then the CB 46 (crazy again) . Don't get me wrong love the FE, i will put it into another head. but the Crazy def has a lower spin heaps of roll for the Ryoma. Sorry i got carried away you were asking about the Ryoma. Def more forgiving and longer than the EPons.
nicwyc
I have Epon driver 151 with crazy TJ-46 6.7 flex 45" length. Just recently bought Ryoma VSpec 9.5 Crazy Black TJ-46 6.7flex 45.25" and i'm loving it. Ryoma goes longer and more forgiving. With a distance that i normally need to hit a draw shot i can now easily reach with a fade, not to say straight shots. Very forgiving yet solid when impact. The shaft also does a great job, and the look of the driver head + head cover is evil enough!
supo
slight off topic Goc, but do you know anything about this driver. Ray Romaro ro? ive seen 2 of them they look really good. pretty expensive, not met anyone whos hit one tho. i was toying with the idea of getting one for a hit , but the expense keeps stopping me. +TourSpecGolfer
I switched form the new Crazy 460 to the Ryoma. Ryoma has the lower trajectory, much straighter, more distance, better feel yet isn't as workable. My driver ranking currently stands at: 1. Ryoma 9.5* 2. Akira M109 9* 3. JBeam 425 Tour 10* 4. Kamui 9.5* For The Romaro Ray. we can get it and at a lower price than most so please inquire if interested but honestly it's price isn't justified in manufacturing and performance. It's similar to the Kenmochi, very pretty but not stand out driver.
stalemate
Wow! You'll be happy either way. The Ryoma and Epon are both amazing drivers!
Chanaa
thks all, fot the ryoma vspec 9.5 fited with crazy cb 46 in the end. Took 10 or more shots at the fitters....u guys are absolutely right - low, straight & loong. The roll is at least 5-10% more than my epon combo. None of my shots had spin > 2100. one word- awesome
