DaleUK
Firstly,, Hello I'm new round here...live in the UK and have a handicap of 10 but play slightly better! I'm currently deciding between Epon 502's or the new OnOff forged 2011 iron's , and I wanted to know which irons are the most forgiving and which would suit a mid handicapper Thanks D
bogeydog
Either is a great choice.
Spoon
they actually play very very similar. the onoff actually has some resemblances to the cavity of the 502. in the end both are forged in endo and are quality products.

Tried the AF 302's and they felt awesome, BUT thought I'd try something that's slightly more forgiving!! Oh and if I go with the 502's they will have the "Copper" finish with KBS nickel "R"flex shaft hard stepped?? bogeydog
Went out this morning with 502s and Onoff irons. Onoff overall better performance. 502 slightly softer feel. Toss up with edge to Onoff due to setup looks and a peformnce edge
+TourSpecGolfer
I would suggest the ONOFF Forged. IMO they have about the same forgiveness, the ONOFF has a better setup with less offset, feels much better at impact, has a lower trajectory. The 502 has a soft feel but its sorta dead and that I just couldn't get past. The 502 is a bit longer IMO, It could be the jacked lofts. DaleUK
Only thing what put me off the OnOff irons was the fact they only do 2 steel shaft options(Nippon) and I'm not suited to either flex!! gocchin
Only thing what put me off the OnOff irons was the fact they only do 2 steel shaft options(Nippon) and I'm not suited to either flex!! Onoff is also available custom from their Labospec tour division with their own tour quality steel shafts. 90 105 and 120g models are available in all flexes. I'm torn between the OnOff and the Epons now!! My hearts set on Epon 502's in Copper finish with the black KBS shaft. Topped with a White Golf Pride VDR grip.... But my heads say try OnOff!!
