Posted August 11, 201113 yr Im a sucker for authentic tour only gear and this one is as tour as you can get. supposedly belonging to adams staffer Ryan moore who is also a ozik user. anyway these are tour van customs protos of the retail white program 130 iron shafts. after having a long chat and go signal from divot dr goodsie i pulled the trigger. will game these mid september. from the markings they are very very stiff xx with a freq of 6.5 but goodsie thinks i can handle them based on what i play. dispersion will be sick and will bury my modus 3. Here are the label markings label reads as follows: ZTIXX 6.5 / VER 9.0 3 - 313CPM 4 - 317CPM 5 - 321CPM 6 - 325CPM 7 - 329CPM 8 - 333CPM 9 - 337CPM PW - 341CPM i tel you it never ever ends...........
August 11, 201113 yr Author Holy smokes C! Which heads? copper 302s. i dont like having more than 1 set of irons.
August 11, 201113 yr Should be a beautiful thing. Welcome to the dark side of graphite iron shafts... Good luck, RIDuffer
August 11, 201113 yr Author Should be a beautiful thing. Welcome to the dark side of graphite iron shafts... Good luck, RIDuffer not there yet:) just worried these will be too stout. matrix'is notorious for being too stiff. what weight are your crazies?
August 11, 201113 yr Super stiff, even the Matrix claims so. The torque ratings are astronomically low.
August 12, 201113 yr not there yet:) just worried these will be too stout. matrix'is notorious for being too stiff. what weight are your crazies? 108g uncut. X Stiff CBI-02. I have to say I am very happy with the switch so far. Admittedly, it is taking some time to adjust the swing but better than steel, at least the ones I have played...
September 13, 201113 yr Author the shafts are so exotic looking. the individual shafts feel heavier than my modus shafts. they feel heavier than steel. debating if i will shaft these sick pups!
September 13, 201113 yr I have them in Epon 302s. HIGH launch and they do spin a lot in the wind.... i'm a hard steep swinger though. Dispersion seems very good. Great feel. Nice looking. No vibrations at all. I didn't like the wedge shafts though. Oddly enough, no spin. I pulled them and put in DG spinners. Definitely notice an increase. I used to have Nippon wedge shafts in Epon wedges and they spun like mad, too.
September 13, 201113 yr ahhhh... mustnt bite.... have to resist.. got to be ...... .storng...... carlo?????????????

September 13, 201113 yr I think the matrix make the best looking shafts available IMO......, not to shabby on performance to especially the high end ones
September 13, 201113 yr Author i can think of a place... my yamaha tours! haha, let me have a whack with them first. will test out the 3i on my 302 head.
September 13, 201113 yr they are definitely not XX, more like X, have a standard programs set from TSG here, 6.5 as well, similar CPMs if i recall correctly not that i care much about CPMs. anyways, dont worry they aint gonna be super stiff and boardy or anything like that, 1150s X i had before definitely felt stiffer than 6.5 programs. after having programs and also altus hybrid shaft i think i'm becoming one of those cuckoo matrix fans. they certainly know how to make super solid stable shafts that also feel alive. I haven't tried the modus 3.... heard they were crap from the Doc. Although some people seem happy with them. The feel is great - very smooth and soft. They don't destroy the nippon steels in performance..... i mean really, in this day and age, all shafts are going to be pretty good, it's just a matter of finding what you need for your game and what you like. I have Nippon SPB's in Miura 5003's and they perform excellently... lower launch, i think tighter dispersion and lower spin. Feel is obviously not as soft but we're comparing steel to graphite. They're all good!

September 14, 201113 yr I'm not actually sure... gocchin would know. I think they're XX but they could possibly be only X flex.
September 15, 201113 yr I played the 130's for many months just after release. As far as graphite goes they are among the stiffest. Accuracy was fantastic and while it feels a little boardy n stout to my game didn't suffer one bit from the switch to heavy graphite in irons.
September 20, 201113 yr Author shafted my 3iron head with the 3iron ozik. man shafts are super good looking. not so distracting once installed. the writings and matrix wordings are virtually invisible under the grip they feel extremely robust and feel heavier than steel. 4-pw install is on hold for now
September 21, 201113 yr Author wow hit the 3i today, was absolutely the stiffest thing ive ever felt in my life. much much stiffer than any steel shaft i have tried. stiffer than nspro proto x PX 6.0 etc etc. off to the Fs section what a shame
September 21, 201113 yr Sorry to hear that. I would have liked to have heard comparisons with the regular Program 130s and other shafts. How did you get your Epon 302's finished in that copper again?
September 22, 201113 yr Author Sorry to hear that. I would have liked to have heard comparisons with the regular Program 130s and other shafts. How did you get your Epon 302's finished in that copper again? i ordered it that way. its an upcharge that will take 2-3 weeks. worth the wait.
