Mjr. D
Supo, if you have all the shafts out there, what are the best overall shafts for a high spin, high launch player? In other news, what is the absolute best overall shaft out there for low launch, low spin?
samuee
I don't have all of them but my vote is the C10 or the 2S14.
supo
Supo, if you have all the shafts out there, what are the best overall shafts for a high spin, high launch player? In other news, what is the absolute best overall shaft out there for low launch, low spin? at yr SS id have to say the DG x 100s are really hard to beat. they are noticeably lower heavier and straighter then the JDM offerings but they lack a lot of feel i dont hit KBS so i cant say there. but on the proto NS side the 2fi4s are the ones ur after i have a set of paul caseys actual shafts and t hey are high but heavy and straight they are in my yamaha tour 2010s they are on t he cusp for me, i prob need slightyl lighter ones. form the stock offering the Ns sp blue in x will def be ok. i play the stiff and i m gulping at times withthiose the X will be fine skippercarrey plays them swears by them and he goes pretty well. i hitthem in my epon 8-9pw soft stepepd and they are super solid but hte dg x100s ithink over all will be tough to beat for you
JMCMB
Are these NS pro to shafts still available, or did you scoop them up stew? If they're still available, I'm def interested. J
samuee
Sorry JMCMB, just awaiting payment from Stew.
supo
sorry chaps just pipped u they are gopin into a set of miuraisms or a set of yamaha tours. been playing the isms agn and loving them.
JMCMB
Think they would be a sweet match in the miuraisms, I just saw your thread offering to sell them a little bit ago, and if you didn't start playing them again, I def would have grabbed em from you, if you ever decide to sell the isms again, PM me and I'll take em off your hands in a heartbeat at the crazy low price you were offering. I was thinking of popping the protos in the U.S 1957 baby blades if they were still available. Hopefully another set of protos will pop up somewhere(3-PW, would be sexy), I'm thinking I would get a sweet ball flight with the protos in the baby blades. How much do you prefer the NS protos to the standard pro modus3's stew? And how much would you say they differ? J
supo
the modus i ddint hit enough of. i hit a few and liked t hem buthte protos just feel like thers more substance to them in ns the SP range is prety impossible to beat. id go the blue over the modus, but thats how i like them. JMCMB
Thank you much kind sir, that was very very helpful, I just received my Yururi flat backs with the pro modus, wooooo boyyyy are these shafts(and heads) pretty, the color of the pro modus sticker even matches the Nowon 50 series red grips I use(the red in the 50 series is actually more of an orangey red), going to give them the trial by fire at Bethpage Black in a little bit, if I don't absolutely love the Modus, I'm going to shaft the irons my father orders me today with the SP blues, as much as I lovvvveee the look of the Modus, based on what I've heard so far, the SP blues would probably be better for my swing/SS, desired ball flight, and my game overall. That's one of the reasons I'm so interested in the Protos, Im thinking I'll get something like the performance and stouter feel of the SP blues, but with the looks of the Modus. Stew, how would you say the trajectory on the SP blues compares to TT Dynamic Golds? Thanks again. J
