Mybluc4
The recent GTI review of the Yururi wedge line was terrific. Are these wedges updates of the Yururi CNC KMO107's or different designs? Are the 107's still produced and sold? Spoon
When T came out with his first review of the classic gekkus I immediately had nostalgia, this wedge has always been on my wish list And want a 50, 58 combo. They even have 8,9 and pw replacements. Has anyone gone that route and placed their short irons with the gekku wedges?

But that is a thought as 8,9 and pw are scoring irons as well.
Vegaman
Yeah, that was a nice review. But, how about the Yururi 1618 Golden Ratio Wedge? Or maybe its just an old model and not part of the current line up. Edited October 20, 2011 by Vegaman
supo
way old model i have a few of the 1.618* they are cast. tiny sole can shape the BALL anywhere ,not the head and the 52 is fantastic for knocking down the ball. certianly NOT recomended to bend this. one iota, i jus got lucky. the 56* i manged to bend to 61* can hit that anywhere ilove them but they are cast...., very different shpae, very rounded pear Edited October 22, 2011 by supo67
gocchin
A few customers have replaced the short irons with Gekku Raws. Its the whole reason Yururi made the raws in those lofts because the stopping power is far more considerable.

Wedge shafts or iron shafts?
JMCMB
C, I'm giving this a shot with a Sky Dream 48' bent to 46' as a PW, i went for the SP blue in it..... In a PW you can get away with a wedge shaft if you replace it with a wedge head, but if you go for 8 and 9 iron replacements def go for iron shafts, you'll get the extra spin with the wedge head, especially the Raw Gekku, but a wedge shafts would throw off the feel, ball flight, and distances your looking for in your 8 and 9 irons and you would have to make adjustments to compensate.... Also, I'm not sure if a wedge shaft could hit 8 iron length, the raw length might be too short, not 100% sure and both you and T would know way more about the club building aspect of it than I would... Mybluc4
Were the 107"s forged or cast? Are they still in production?

Also can get undesirable bounce as well.
gocchin
KM-0107 Wedge was forged like the iron.
