January 14, 201213 yr comment_174683 I havent played the tour model yet, only hit the 9 iron at the range, but the non tour is a very nice set of irons, super soft, great quality, great feel.

They do sound like a nice set of irons... My fear is that the non tours look like old cavity backs??:(
January 15, 201213 yr comment_174691 If your single digit with great ball striking "consider" Tours. There is a noticeable difference in forgiveness and just think that JPGA pro's get along with the non Tours just fine.

January 16, 201213 yr comment_174722 the 2012 tours... the yonex ishikawa blades.. and the srixon pro 100s the tours ive been playing in all conditions for mhuge wind, hot dry and heavy rain. the worse the conditions the more ichoose these .. they go fantastic, really. no where near a moveable as the blades which suits prefectly in shiiiiiiiity conditions. but on good dry days they just grab the greens as good as anyting ive hit. im moreimpressed withthem the more i play them. big differnce to the older models. not sure if im 100pct loving the new shape, but ther results are v good. only got 5-pw and cud easily do with a 4 , but the 5 gets out there, just want a 4 to make that extra low punch a ute doesnt give. gonna give em another bash tomorrow in comp see if i cant get my bloody handi down a tad. oh and the 3 sets of irons ive got here, are all super. the yonex with the x100 im loving ..., they just feel poop in comparison to NS shafted irons . that will change wehn igewt back home reshaft em with some ns.
January 17, 201213 yr comment_174723 Hi there, on look out fir new irons for 2012.....am an epon fan, using 302s & 502s. How do the yamahas compare to the epons in terms of playability, softness etc ? The tour looks like 302s & non tour looks like cavity 502s. Thks much
January 17, 201213 yr comment_174724 That's why I always carry the 4 iron, if your drive is wayward in the trees that 4iron punch is a must.

January 18, 201213 yr comment_174741 The Tours are smaller than the 302's. I think the standard V-Forged falls between the 302 & 502.

January 18, 201213 yr comment_174761 You can see more pics of both here: http://www.golftoimpress.com/yamaha-inpres-x-2012-irons-review/ I loved the tours... I am not a great ball striker but they are surprisingly forgiving. Every customer who bought them are very happy with them. The standard model is certainly very forgiving. I gamed a previous gen for a year. And this new model is even more forgiving. It is smaller all around than the AF-502 but not by much. I think it feels better than the AF502 as it is a single piece with none of that alpha gel stuff in the cavity. Modus3 is a special order, if I remember soft stepped should not be a problem but the Modus already play quite soft.
