supo
dont worry it most certianly doesnt i hit it on sunday at the range the test centre was set up next to me it took me 80 mins to summon up the courage to ask for a go but ihad to know.. it felt horrible.i hit the rbz and the r11 i think it was, the one with the moveable orange triangle on the base. my yamaha diamanaX i was hitting at thime was infinitly superior. give dustin this thing to hit he might it it 1000 yards. the one thing i really did like the look of , but hte feel was toilet ,was the new TM rbz utility it was shafted with a 950 ns steel the shots were really straight and the shape is great ,but its s really dead feeling didnt matter tho the results were really good hitt his better than the oens i have i WILL get one of these

Mine feels different with the crazy shaft in. It's still going good and better than any driver I have had to date, BUT with you keep going on about the Yamaha...... I have also reserved the Epon Zero - just weighing up which crazy shaft to put in it - a huge consideration for me in the UAE, as I have gone through a fair few Crazy shafts now.... RBZ tour 3 wood and utility heads arrive this week, which my crazy 3 wood and utility shafts going in. Happy days!
Robb40
Suppo how much longer is your Yammy. the RBZ tour for me is longer than any JDM that I have tried with quality shafts Crazy,Bangvoo,Quadra etc.?
supo
i was at the range , 250 yards was the furthest i could go into the net , + the shaft iwas hitting was a stock green thing and it went rediuclously high like an aeroplane taking off, that kind of flight. went no where i made my self hit 6 balls with it. just to get an idea of the head, forget the shaft wasnt the exercise. the head is so huge as well it engulphs the ball its very much like the original TM burner i thought in shape but a bit more upright and rounded, the burner had a nice flat face. i loved the original burner. i guess ive been hitting smaller headed drivers for a while and this one just loked too big for me. i went staright back to the yamaha diamana X i was breaking in and i cant beging to describe the differnce in flight feel and look. i did notice the RBZ driver has the same oven chanel that the nike has just very very small and thin nothing like the enormous thing on the nike tour. but the overall body is just so huge, i cant look at it at address. thast why iwent away from the burner in the first palce, i went from the burner to the cleveland ,then the TM burner tp which i still have, thats a beautiful head! , then i got into realyl small cc heads, they were too small. now ive settled for a more ounded compact looking head. overall cc is fine at 460 like the epon 101, but thats what i like to see at address , a more rounded look. Robb40
Just an update for anyone who may be interested. I took my RBZ tour with the tour spec motore speeder to a launch monitor. I do this with any head/shaft combo that could be a gamer after extensive out door testing. The best numbers I have achieved so far was the crazy 460 with a Miyazaki Indigo. backspin was 3200 with a 12* launch. Carry was about 255 with a total of 273. The RBZ combo topped any driver that I have ever hit. backspin was 2455 with a carry of 259 totaling 279. I have never been able to achieve low backspin numbers before. I cant wait for dry conditions to see what real world roll will be. I cant say enough good things about this combo. I would like to try the Gloire head but if it did not work out I know I would take a bath on resale.
robbie
Sounds like you got a winner there Robb ( better keep it ) ....i too found my magical driver but i still buy every hot driver out there because, well ...ummm...because i score better from 145 yards than 147 yards....hahahahaha
xerobound
Rbz is a good head but the stock shaft is not up to standard for a distance club.
Robb40
I agree. The stock shaft was junk. Just terrible! Glad I gave it more time with better shaft offerings.
chiromikey
i recently hit the rbz driver against a few other u.s. market retail clubs and couldn't hit it any further than the rest. then i hit the rbz tour 3+ metal and was hitting it within 10yds of the drivers! this is the first fairway metal i have ever been impressed with. so much so that i bought one and finally retired my ping maple isi tour 3wood. i hate the feel of metal woods but this thing performs and it looks like i may have to force myself to get used to it! i had a chance to test it out on the course yesterday and it exceeded my expectations. but even if i can get used to the feel i'll still need to have it painted black...talk about ugly! Robb40
Again I must say that testing the RBZ driver with the stock shaft is not going to work for those who are looking for max performance. no way I would have gamed this driver with the stock shaft. I do have the 3 wood now but the first thing to go was the stock shaft. I have a Bassara wyvern in it and it is a beast. 2 drives yesterday of 258.
