EdGolf
Just saw a review in Golfweek a few days ago on this shaft called Nunchuk, which is now in play by a couple of PGA, namely Jhonattan Vegas and Brandt Snedeker. After a few google, I'm surprise to learn of the 'one shaft fits all' design concept but after much reading, their logic of a stiffer butt and tip does make some sense but just wondering if any of you have tried this shaft? Seem to be some good reviews coming in from many different forums........ Any feedback guys?
potuna
I had one, sold it. Didn't work for me.
EdGolf
Was it the lack of feel?? too stout? I'm thinking of picking one up to test and looking for feedback before dropping the $$
golfnologist
I have 2 of them in driver and 5 wood. Ball will go straight but distance may suffer due to weight of Nunchuk, which after trimming is about 90gm. It works better with the fairway wood in my case. As it is shorter in length in FW, the the weight goes down to about 80-85gm. I can really hit straight with it in my FW. If you are a very strong hitter, the nunchuk is very suitable, as the weight is not a problem.
Vegaman
I have also heard its an excellent FW shaft, due to the weight. On the other hand its counterbalanced so it does not play heavier than a typical 65 gram shaft according to most reviews. I have never tried it, and the one size fits all feels a bit worrying. But Id like to try it some day.
Hamkenstein
Have read Dave Tutelmans' reveiw of this shaft (he looks at golf equipment and techniques from a purely engineering prospective, google him) and he dismisses the "one size fits all" theory in the same way as if it were applied to shoes. Want a heavy weight FW shaft, try Matrix or Nippon.
EdGolf
Have read Dave Tutelmans' reveiw of this shaft (he looks at golf equipment and techniques from a purely engineering prospective, google him) and he dismisses the "one size fits all" theory in the same way as if it were applied to shoes. Want a heavy weight FW shaft, try Matrix or Nippon. Thanks - have google and read Dave's review and thoughts. However at the same time there was also many positive feedback from all sort of different people of all ages, and SS and feedbacks seems to show that this 'one flex' thing works but on a shorter playing lenght and higher launch head?? Too bad I don't have any to demo out here or it would be interesting to see how this shaft can help my bad slices....
supo
http://www.ozgolf.net/showthread.php/23130-Nunchuk-Golf-Shaft-review this shoud give everyone a taste of it
EdGolf
Thanks for the link supo67. Seem like a pretty decent shaft that would suit all sorts of SS but need to be played in the 'right' lenght (in this case, not too long) Stability of the shaft seem to be the key as this seem to be the same as those Crazy shaft......... wonder how those compare? theblake
I have Nunchuk in my driver and 3W, it does exactly what it says it does (and its been mentioned in these forums before). My SS with driver is 95mph, and i have lent it to a 10 and 12 yo kids and they love it also. The key is to fit it properly to the head and FOLLOW the instructions, cut to 44" or less playing length. Everyone I know that hated it, made theirs too long. Dave Tutelmans review is also wrong - I invited him to write that but he did not test one himself. The shaft does not conform to any preconceived ideas, it is not just another heavy shaft. Go try one, cut it to the right length and it will work. EdGolf
Well, can't really blame Tutelmans as this shaft goes against traditional believe lol. Would love to get hold of one to try. Too bad they have no distributor here in South East Asia
theblake
Are you sure? I just happen to know that one TSG golfer got a Nunchuk personally delivered to him in Jakarta by another TSG'r, and at a price much less than what Nventix sell it for. You just need to ask around :-)

coops1967
I got myself a Yonex ezone 380 head last time i visited the states... ooooooh, it's beautiful.... but haven't had it shafted yet. Currently still love my Adams 9015D and the Blueboard 73S shaft is great (down from my previous 83S... getting older) - I've used a AD-DJ 6s in a Tourstage and shaft feels ok - but more loose than hte Bboard, still seem to prefer the diamana... and am very curious about the Nunchuk. am back in the states (around Pittsburgh) so can get a nunchuk shaft - anyone tried it in the Yonex? I got the head at the high loft option (10 or 10.5?), and already play my Adams at 'only' 44 1/2" long... so would be getting it made to be probably 44" (certainly not longer than 44 1/2" which I think the Nunchuk guys recomend anyway).... EdGolf
Let's us know how this shaft works in that head? I'm also pondering what head type to use.
supo
reiopening this bec i fogot towrte a psot about it so i got my nike vr tour 10.5* nunchuk @ 44 inch built last month in sydney, i had no interest in the head i assure yo0u but hte guy that builds the mswears by t hem so i thought it would be remis if ididnt try it. well................, very pleasantly surprised. very very surprised. its heavy alright , easily theehaviest club ive got he shaft is 104 gram or something crazy but thru the swing it doent feel that heavy. its certianly not a roy dec, but it goes out there aways. the thing asbout this driver is its so straight, can tee t heb all up realyl high and swin g thru it and it just tings off the face. its not long i guess bec its so heavy but i ddint miss a fairway with it, had a lovely little draw on every shot. but i was only getting it to 260 ish. h tast a long way off what im looking for with a driver. but it does seve my purposes perfectly at my home track, bec itsso short 260 is perfect.. the nike head is ok. thast it. it certianly has no really great feel to it ,but it s not a piece of spam ,like i was expecting really . its perfectly accpetable thsi combo works and works really well for a a strong powerful flight that is great i n the wind. id imagine the shaft would be awsome in a 3 wood. id give this the thumbs up no probs. and as much as i hate to say it.... with the nike thing its actually very good driver but no longer thqat 44 inch!
