+TourSpecGolfer
Who loved the ol Tri-Hot by Odyssey? It was one of my all time favorites along with the Bettinardi 360TR. It was expensive for a USDM putter mostly due to the finish, it's not a cheap one. It's a full tungsten piece not insert which also added to the cost. I'm fooling around with putters now on the search for a new gamer I may be settling in on a Tour Designs iX. It feels great! A little more firm than the Tri Hot but for sure softer. What was interesting is that a 360g head attached to a 33"shaft felt the same weight as a 340g head on a 35" shaft. On the putting monitor my stroke was more consistent with 35" although I'm only 5"10ish. I would always putt with a shorter length and a heavier head but am now making the move to a more upright stance which leaves me less handsy. Will post pics of the other models later tonight. mygreenaliem
Delicious putters! Interesting to read about going longer - I always thought the taller you go the less "pendulum" motion you have and you become more handsy. I'm 5'7 and have found 32" best for me but with around 355/360g. Gonna be gaming a Gold's special (from you guys!!) - can't wait for it to arrive
corky3
Interesting and coincidental..... I have just gone from a 33.5 inch bettinardi Bb Zero to a 34.5 inch bb8 and its really working well (for the moment) standing taller helps me see the line better. I am 5 8" but putter lengthis really determined by hand height from the ground ie. arm length and I have short arms....
+TourSpecGolfer
What didn't work for me is 35" with 360 gram heads. I actually put best with a slightly lighter longer shaft. More Pics:
xerobound
I just love the finish and looking at these putters. Great soft feel for those tight and fast greens.
