September 11, 201212 yr Author pro 100s are pretty darn good. i went mad t with them a while back and shafted about 6 sets with differnt shafts. i love them. they arnt the softest out there but they are perfectly damn good. they are on the more solid side. which i dont mind in blades at all. the yamaha blades................. why dont they make a new limited set of those every cpl of yrs. they would sell out in 3 seconds!!!!! i guess bec fujita doesnt wanna play them..

Solid as in th TS 905 feel?
September 11, 201212 yr Author yea similar. but the 905 are a more consistantly rounded feeling . he off centree shots can get a bit mroe harsh than the 905s. the 905 are a hell of a set of blades. i dont think theres a better designed one out there. i would have liked them just a weee bit thicker and softer . just a wee bit..,
September 15, 201212 yr Some info on the crazy sick set of yamaha hal sutton joe kwok grind irons. seriously this is one of the best looking irons i have ever seen! handground by joe kwok! Hand Ground by Joe Kwok for modern sole relief (heal, toe, leading / trailing edges) - over $1,000 worth of work Hand stamped by Joe Kwok to show authenticity (see symbol high on toe of each club) Story: Another WRXer started this project. He bought the clubs from somone in decent condition and decided to have them ground to play like the most modern sets from the best makers. Sent them to Joe Kwok and paid over $1,000 to grind all nine (9) of the irons. Joe finished them, weighed them and shipped them back. I bought them from the owner at that stage as he didn't want to get further into the project. I bought the ground heads off the GolfWRX BST a while back, but they needed to be refinished. I first had them bent to my specs (see picture below) and then took them to Quality Golf Products in Fountain Valley, CA, to have them sent off for rechroming (original satin) and original paintfill. While they were away for 3 weeks being refinished, I bought some great two silver ring ferrules to match the heads, DG TI S-400 shafts (2-PW), and some Tour Issue Golf Pride victory cord grips. Quality Golf then fitted the heads to the shafts (carefully filling the shaft pin hole in the hosel with lead), cut them to length (see below specs) and installed the grips. I then contacted Joe Kwok and asked him to do me the honor of hand stamping each head to document his grinding work. Joe not only hand stamped them, but also precisely measured each clubhead for loft, lie, and club for length and swingweight. What a professional and perfectionist! It was truly and honor to watch him work. The first restoration owner had $1,400 into these. I added an additional $700 (rechrome, shafts, grips, ferrules, labor, bending, stamping, final tweaks) to that total, so they have had approximately $2,100 invested to restore them to better than original condition. September 16, 201212 yr I emailed Joe kwok and he confirmed his handiwork. He extensively ground every head to make the sole More playable, his exact words were I ground them To make the grind versatile like an MP68 grind.. He said it is definitely more playable than a mire blade
September 17, 201212 yr does it make sense that someone who invested so much on those irons would pull them off Wrx because of all the lowballers yet unload them off ebay at 299 1 bidder? fyi i pmd joe kwok about these and said that these are his handiwork and that he specially ground them and put a modern grind to resemble the mp68. i want these soo bad
September 17, 201212 yr Yeah the sole work do resemble my MP68..... did you try to bid in e-bay?? Agree those are one of the most beautiful set I've seen.......
September 17, 201212 yr The majority of the people on wrx have no clue about Yamaha golf eq. Zero Practically a waste o time to list JDM eq. there Why didn't you bid??

September 18, 201212 yr Author hahahaha.. now THATS what i like to hear...! i remeber hitting these,, frstly they are really really long flat square shape,. totally differnt to anything ive ever seen hit before. they were like 3* flat i ahd the get them bent ot "normal" to even be able to address them properly. they came with DGr300 and the had pins i nthe hosell to hold the shafts in which im lead to beleive was the norm. in days gone bye. the feel wasnt that great but............ it wasnt htat bad... i put it down ot the shafts so i reshafted the 7ir with a tourstage NS m226v.... nad it was better for sure.. BUT not enough for me to spend a ton on nad get em ""fixed""... ill get em cleaned up and put these up in a dispaly cabinet bec hte look really is awsome. they are in great nick as well. C, those ones u got if theyve been re worked will be mustardo, shaft em right and yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !
September 18, 201212 yr Can't wait to see/ read C review once he get his hands on em' ESPECIALLY comparing to Epon 302, AF Tour and Personal
