I don't know about you guys but i change my driver very often, so I've put a stop to that and I'm not carrying one for a little while. It probably won't last very long though as I love nothing more than smashing the ball miles down the fairway. Absolutely love it.

Anyway, here's my driverless bag for 2012. It's taken me a while to put it together. I had to save hard but I got there in the end.

Let me know what you think.

I had a spell of leaving the Driver out, using the 3 wood but it doesn't last long!!

D

No driver?? Blasphemous!

dude i will take pics of my current bag. no driver at all as well.

sold the ZERO and the Crazy 435II in a matter of 2 weeks.

i get plenty of distance anyway with my yamaha xv 14* with killer 9003s 43.5"!!

Very nice! Specially the irons;) Love Yamaha gear. Also hit those '11 yammi tours. While the results were quite good, I still need something a little more forgiving.

Note to myself: Make pics of my bag as well!

Please review the Quadra 100i iron shafts.

DaleUK and swisstrader - I know what you mean. I will get another driver eventually..........

Spoon - what went wrong with the Zero and Crazy? I think my Cobra plays at 43". By the way, delete the driver from your signature ;)

shacco - the Yamahas are fantastic. I played today and shot 34 points off 16. I haven't been this close to my handicap for ages, so I'll put it down to either a shorter back swing because of the small head and/or concentrating more.

bogeydog - I have a golf weekend away coming up on 13th/14th May, so I'll report back with a review after that.

Thanks for all the comments guys. Keep 'em coming. I have more pics if you want them.

You can never have enuff pictures!!

those irons are absolute beaut. Talking about piccys. i should be taking more pics of my goodies.

I can't ever envision putting another bulbous 460cc golf club in my bag ever again.

I'll never say never, but at the moment I think I agree with you Nifty. My next driver will be less than 460.......maybe a Yonex 380/420 or something of similar size.

wow

love it

love it a lot!

these yamms irons ahave become my favs. ive hit them al land theseare the hardest toget wired, they are def the most pro esque yamaha have gone, they really brought them back to th field this yr so much easier to play .but for the bestter palyer these are DEF yamah a best heads definatly.. they shud goagn another level and make pro,, tour .. and regualr shape bec these babies ROCK!

glad to see u went the wedges aswell, they go ok huh ?

13* mini driver is good for short ourses and non blowy days , but when it gets tough dont u miss the 10* or lower head back in the bag?

... think out side the box...

shorter length ............ heavier ..................driver head

yonex nextage--GDp9003x 44- to 43.75 inch 9*

NO PROBLEMO!

much better distance, much lower ,much more punchy

=

massive smashable drives once more.

i have a bag with no driver for my home track in oz. i dont need it , unless its really windy, then i get too much balloning into the wind wit hmy fairway driver.

the shorter driver is a great option trust me!

great bag, love it!

I will definitely try a driver around 44" - 44 1/2". Don't know about going any shorter. Length off the tee isn't a problem.......control is though!

Over the next few months I'll get some more cash together and see what you guys are selling :)

How much for your Yonex. Lol

A dog bite prematurely ended my 2015 season, this with a gorgeous New England autumn mocking me and no snow forecast on the horizon.

But no driver is where I eat beginning a season, and with me playing at 6000 yards, one doesn't always find its way into my bag.

Blimey I have fond memories of this bag, and actually regret splitting it up, apart from the hybrid. Such is the life of a 'Ho'. Those yammies......beautiful, and that Cobra 3w wood was awesome. Low flying bullets from that thing. Would have been great on a links course.

Nifty, surprisingly (yeah right) I've tried about a million drivers since these pictures and have finally worked out that supo67 was right, my driver should play at 44", and it does. Will post some witb pics as soon as my irons are built in the coming week or so.

I played a 44" with heavier shaft for many years. Switched this year to 45 inch (age 61), S to SR flex, lighter shaft. S to SX in irons. My misses with irons are usually draw/hook, with woods fade/slice. Swing easy, hit it hard. Try swinging at 85% for better balance and better contact. One of the guys who taught the short game to Stan Utley gave me a tip about 40 years ago - stay balanced and keep the head still.

I hit a high control fade with Yonex Ezone 450. Most consistent driver I've tried, but high fade is not good in the Texas wind.
