Mjr. D
Sorry for sucking you in and not giving you something more interesting but I want to re-do the paint fill on some of my irons. Can someone give me a process that works best? The clubs are chrome finished Mizuno's so I don't know about having them sit in Acetone like i've heard... Paint types, techniques... Appreciate it. supo
hahahahahhaah yea i do it al the time simplest easiest and cleanest way ive discovered it to just paint the stamping fill it all in chockers full leave it over night till its BONE DRY has to be completely dry.. then get a stanley knife, the blunt edge NOT the sharp bit and just scrape the residue off, dont worry about paint everywhere it comes off so easily. with a tiny amout of scraping. and leave the paint full in the stamping. then just wipe over wit ha cloth the tiny flakes that are left. mine come out perfeclt every time no scratching the club at all. FatMan
Citristrip to remove the paint fill. Just apply a little to the painted areas you want to remove. Normally, the paint will peel off. You may need a pin or toothpick for the thinner hard to reach areas where the paint doesn't come right off. Rinse after. There are other agents that you can use to remove the paint fill but, I can't remember what they are off the top off my head.

Shambles
Acetone won't screw up the Chome finish at all? What's the best paint to use? I use marker pen refills. It comes in a variety of colors, dries quickly and you just rub off the slop with an ink eraser. Shambles
