D forged, Yamaha and Tour irons..ok please chime in with the experiences you have had and how were the clubs...

I have always been interested in the D forged. What may turn me off on the D Forged is the wide cavity that appears to show when addressing the ball. I have been told it appears on the 4 iron but curious if you see it on the 5 iron as well. Also would be interested in how they would rank in terms of a game improvement iron compared to the VG3 and the Tourstage GR Forged irons.

theres os many yamahs and so many threads on them in here.

ive hit al the tours form 2005 to 2012, ill take any of them, dotn give atoss they are all brilliant.

i game in oz the 09 NON tours vec of the shape.

and i currently have the 06 tour with monacco and the 11 tour with modus tx

theresnothing to comapre thye are all just brilliant

if i got unlucky nad only had one set of clubs it would uncatagorically be yamaha.

I agree with supo67. I game the 2011 tours with Quadra graphite shafts. Absolutely fantastic. Lovely soft feel, better than my old Snake Eyes. I need more time to get used to the extra distance I'm hitting, but that's probably down to the shafts. The heads are small but I have no idea if they're forgiving or not as I hit out of the groves 90% of the time. If I hit it thin or fat then no big club head would help. I love the way they look at address.
