Say it's not so, tolerances is for sure different. I had my Crazy 10.5 digital lofted at 10.5, can't say that for Ping, TM, Callaway and the rest.

Could it be that the Raw materials are sourced from China?

Epon is certainly not made in China, neither is the Ti.

Though some of those brands listed certainly are made in China, TM, Miura, Ping, USDM Titleist, all made in China.

Callaway, JDM Titleist, Epon, Yamaha, Tourstage are all done at Endo, either in Japan or in Thailand.

Probably works for one of the China made Companies!!

There is 100% without any doubt that many countries including Japan can shape Titanium. He's correct that the majority of drivers are made in China but the best is still made in Japan and that's why TSG exists.

If you want to get to the nitty gritty look at how many chinese factories re cast or mold recycled titanium then shape it.

On a side note even JDM drivers made in China are of a different level than USDM. You can only squeeze in so much tech /materials /shaft into a 400 dollar driver vs a 1000 driver.

As for the source of the raw material, isn't Russia the biggest supplier of Titanium?

It's not so difficult to believe. China has been very lax in the enforcement of environmental considerations and labor rights. Their trade off has been the ability to deliver products at considerably lower prices and businessmen always find that worth considering.

I think it's a matter of marketing. Quality of mass produced goods surely differ from custom made products. I'm sure that if the Chinese manufacturers were to go with the other route, they could produce equally amazing equipments. Unfortunately, this is not the strategy chosen by major US brand. Beside, u have to be quite obsessive to detail to create this driver with monocoque body that boast 0.33mm thin wall don't u think? : )

Australia followed by South Africa then Canada then Norway. Over 90% of this is used to make titaniun dioxide (used in paint pigment etc. White golf balls anyone?) according to Wikipedia, based on 2003 statistics but I can't see to much having changed.
