gocchin
Carlo is right, shorter the length, heavier the head. Longer the length lighter the head. Or swing weight would be reversed ie super high on the long lengths and ultra light on the short lengths...that said.... Stew also sent me his 1999 Matsumoto for refinishing... We brought the head weight up closer to 365g using orbit weights. Next Gen PZ milling to soften up the feel. He wanted blast art so we were able to make the blast art MATCH with the 1999 on the sole... it looks awesome. Sasaya-san touched up and refinished he whole putter so it looks like new!!! Here it is!! more pics too of Stew's two other refinishes...
Spoon
damn T sasaya did one hell of a job with the matsumoto with the orbit weights. beautiful looks better than the original stew that matsumoto must be the best one ive seen in your stable. better keep it in good nick as your previous putters all look abused
supo
 i hadnt even seen the hiro yet . that looks much better than i expected to see. i didnt want ot just trust this one to anyone so spending the extra coin looks like its worth it. my idea is to play it with a frequency filtered shaft and iomic grip. cant wait to get that shafted up  Edited September 13, 2016 by supo

gocchin
Stew decided he had too many red putters so we went with the translucent blue on the Hiro 1999 and it looks friggin awesome! Here is the final head on its way back to Stew today!

supo
played them all now took 15 with me to hawaii every one got at leat 2 9s and 15 mins on range some big big differnces the milling on them is so varied. i wanted to try a variety of styles and choose what i rolled the best it seeemd the best served for me is the hiro long necks the private stock no2 was beautifully blanced and heavy. the hiro mats mz-07 is just butter. the button abck is a copper insert so thast as it is , its just spanking new looking now. after SOLID play with them folks , my advice is,.,. if u have a putter u love the play of ,then send it in and get it re worked thye come up trumps from golds make sure you have PRECISE dialgue with the artisan and what u want and expect and ull be more than just fine , these guys are good! 4dr.no
Hmmm, all this putter eye candy is getting me thinking about sending my Betti Copper Candy for Gold's tuning - tungsten weights, PZ milling, stampings. Sacrilege? What do you guys think?
+TourSpecGolfer
Cool copper bett. I think going with a golds tune will make it look a lot cleaner and more uniform in finish. Your putter has some great opportunities for quality paint fill. I personally would keep the milling design, only put mill marks on the bumpers some line steps on the right and left of the cavity. Finish in beads boron or teflon black with circus color paint fill. The neck same finish as the head with a new shimada putter shaft and matching color grip would do the trick for me. I didn't even think about paintfill, that would certainly jazz it up. I'm not sold on refinishing, the patina'd copper is beautiful as is. I do like the idea of making the hosel the same - does Sasaya-san refinish in copper?
