Anywhere in Tokyo-Osaka to try OnOff?

Hi,

I'm using EPON AF-702 with Tour AD65 flex R. What you guys think of any other irons+shafts combination to make my golf life even easier? I like my current set up but if any better would be good. I'm thinking about OnOff after reading many threads here on this. If I go this way, you think just Forged is easy enough? Or I should go with OnOff RED? About the shaft, do you think which one I should game with? new Bassara iron or anything else? Thanks in advance for all response. Have a good day.

well..., if ur here.

u can hit onoff in tokyo at ebisu sports..but be ready to sit down quickly when they show u the price...

they have a humongous range, AND are one of the very few onoff fitters, the tour van regularly drops in to help a few of us shingo guys out.

but. be perpared to extend ur mortgage if u purchase from them .

if i go there to test i usually buy something to say thanks .bec theres no obligation , and the facilities are superb.

they have a fantastic array of bags......

but jee they charge for stuff.

TSG is much better priced.

try there

buy here....!

Hi, thanks! You meant Ebisu golf club? Seems so luxurious from the website.

About the graphite shafts to match this head - anyone got any advice? Anyone using 2012 Bassara iron shaft here? For OnOff head, you guys think Forged is already easy enough or no-skill guy like me should go with RED? Thanks.

Going from a 702 and with your stated handicap of 28, you really should go with the Red. I demo'ed the Red at this year's golf show and I think it is great and looks tons better than the previous Red. Not saying that the forged is not good but the Red would be easier on your game.

ebisu golf club and golf messe are in the same area.. golf messe has a better array of test clubs to be honest . ,

they are over the top pricing as well but great service and facilities are top.

this is where th tour van comes to not ebisu gc sorry my mistake , im always confusing the 2 they are a few hundread meteres apart.

Hi Chris, among all JDM irons, which one you think easiest to hit? From your post in another thread you said OnOff Forged is very easy to hit but comparing to RED, you think I'll see the difference in term of forgiveness?

Thanks all responses to this thread so far. This forum is very good.

If the forged is as easy or easier than the Red, I don't see the logic for Onoff having the Red as GI and the forged marketed for better players. I am sure other would say the forged is easy to hit but you are asking a relative question, right?

Ive hit both, the reds are for sure easier to hit and should be the better design for a 28 but the issue is they dont feel as good as the many forged models. Im thinking the new PRGR EGG Forged is a good fit if yiu dont mind minimal offset. Its got a thick topline and variable sole design, lots of tech. 6-pw and a bunch of woods may be a good route.

For a 28 handicap the XXIO 7 is the best choice along with the ONOFF Red and D-Forged from Yamaha.

Honestly the ONOFF Red and XXIO 7 are very close to feeling forged because they utilize either thin faced Ti or maraging steel which provide a lot of pop.

I reviewed the Red here: http://www.golftoimpress.com/onoff-2012-iron-review/

If it were me I would not hesitate to game any of the three I mentioned above. they will make golf easier, more enjoyable and you will improve faster. Easy to swing, easy to play and tons of performance.

The egg forged has very little offset and the face area is quite small. They are also built considerably heavier. They are actually targeted not at the higher handicapper but mid handicapper. The egg iron is meant for the higher handicapper but the looks take a lot of getting used to.

Thanks so much Chris and Tario,

- No OnOff in my country so I'll try RED in Tokyo as mentioning earlier. Besides Ebisu GC, do you think I can try it at Daimaru or somewhere else?

- Tempting to change to one of irons you guys suggested; however, I'm using AF-702 which is already forgiving already. You think it's even easier/better?

- Can you recommend me graphite shaft also? My driver SS is 85mph.

Expect the OnOff Forged II coming in November

Sounds exciting, I definitely cant wait, I may have to wait until November to buy a new set. Not unless Onoff discounts their current set before launching their new irons, wouldnt mind either way.
