My visit to Crazy factory

On the way back from meeting at Las Vegas, I made a stop at Tokyo-Osaka for a week. Of course, I managed to go to a few golf shops. Man, I was in country of golf heaven. As I posted on where to try OnOff iron, it's easier than I thought. Many golf shops carry OnOff. In case you need me to recommend one - BIC Camera. Well, it's a mall not a camera shop. Normally, it has like 7 floors. I visited the one at Shinjuku. Unfortunately, the RED was sold out! Anyway, I love my new XXIO7. For high handicappers like me, I really recommend it. Easiest irons I even touched my hands on. Easier than my previous set (EPON 702).

Referring to my another previous post, my HS was 85MPH but I hit Ryoma Premia + RoyDec only 160 yards.... well, it's my bad swing. After working on it, it became to 180 yards carry - still not satisfying. This time, I went all the way to Crazy factory in Adachi, Tokyo to let them do fitting for me. I hit many shots, taking almost 3 hr to finish, even took a break during the session. During the break, I met long drive pro of Crazy. He hit 300 shots (carry only) in front of my eyes. He used prototype 531 X-flex, and his HS was 62 m/s. Wow.

For my result, I got prototype 513 with SR-flex. My HS became almost 92. My best shot was 220 yards carry (235 totally). Well, it's so-so distance for most of you guys here, but I never hit that far in my golf life. Below is something I found

- fitting is real. It's the best way to buy golf equipments. In case no chance to do something like visiting the manufacturers' shops, consult TSG here.

- I played R-flex all along... even nearly decided to go to R2 flex... however, it turned out to be my best fitted is SR for driver shaft (maybe depends on which brand too)

- For me, I hit Crazy 435II much straighter than Crazy450 head.

- Yesterday, I hit my own Ryoma head with this 513 shaft, it's almost 20 yards longer than the old shaft. No shot went 220 yards carry as I did in Tokyo, but yesterday I had been exhausted with something before.

- For those who want to visit Tokyo, estimate the cost for each meal at 800yen unless you plan to eat instant noodles.

Were you able to try out the Proto 531B? What flex were you using in the RD?

Robert, they let you try all the shafts they have. My previous RD flex is R.

Tario, due to that Thai custom always rob their people (they just put the bogus price on the thing my friend in US sent to me and declared as $0 gift, and then charge me). I had hard time ordering things from TSG frankly say. Only a few order I made at TSG, making me not so considered customer :tsg_smilie_smile2: So I didn't let you know. Actually, I really want to meet you in person. I should have better price from TSG coz Crazy charged me listed price for the shaft. Anyway, it's my great experience indeed.

Thank you so much for posting this & thank you for supporting Crazy.

Yes you really want us (TSG) to take you to Crazy. They pull out the red carpet for you and you have Tario analyzing your results in real time.

Yes I also pick up the customers and drive them in my STi (^_^), Plus you get to tour all the private parts of Crazy. You could have bought the shaft right there from the Crazy factory and got our TSG discount. Thats usually the way it works. Clive who I did a fitting with and posted on the blog spent several grand and saved a grand by buying at the Factory with our pricing.

As a matter of a fact on the 20th I am taking a customer to the Factory for a tour and fitting and introducing them to some finer dining around the Tokyo Station area.

Sidebar: I think you guys should advertise a bit more about available services like this.

We've talked about it here and there on the forum. I've posted about it on the blog with a few customers... here is Clives: http://www.golftoimp...-crazy-factory/

I just took idrive back in July.

Got another later this month and one early October as well as helping a couple of guys get fit while they are at Crazy Factory Fukuoka. I

They are not that frequent as its not everyday customers fly into Japan. (^_^)

But when they do I try my best to help out including with the trip and golf courses as well.

I would definitely love to go to Crazy but probably not this year as I have been to Japan twice this year already.

Crazy is always great! Service and quality of product and the staff. It's a great experience, I can't wait to go visit them again! The private section tour is amazing, the quality control and dedication to the craft is awesome. It makes me like their products even more! :)

you guys are just making me feel even more excited.... I booked flights to Japan yesterday for me and my wife (I have been a huge fan of Japan and wanted to go there since I was a kid), so finally we're doing it and..... I have asked Tario if he can fix a visit to Crazy as I am Crazy about Crazy! We're still planning what to do but I have never been so excited about visiting a place. As for my wife, well she's so excited too!
