new driver build... k-px 12* 44.25 inch

ok, ive had the 12* k-px head floating around un shafted for the longest time .

ive tried a few shafts in it but i get no love and plenty of ballooning

i gave up..................

till now.........

i was interested in a high launching shorter length driver that i can hit miles high but without ballooning, iwant a normal arc. to hit over trees , creeks . that a normal driver wont get to. in between a driver and a fairway wood.

but doesnt have to be monster long. but not too short either iwant it longer than a 3 wood.

i want it to be a rescue driver!

for no other reason than

why................. the hell ...............................not....................................!

i love this head so i thought id give it a whirl but i was unsuccessfull with the normal uber schlokken quilaity shafts

then spoony piqued my interest on this thing called a

bimatrix.., ive no idea about it. but it dId look very interesting

aparenttLy its very low

it turned up yesterday, light blue ....,it looks awsome....., and its got a 6- 8 inch steel tip!

took it in today , asked the master what he thought, he immediatly nodded in agreement, (which is a rarity in itself)

agreed 44.25 inch by 205 gram raw head. 343 gram over all club build.

the shaft is 82 gram X- flex

the weight port changeability means i cud make this 330 at 44.25 which MIGHT make it too light at that length

SW d8 ish.

but initially itll be 343 gram

THIS IS A rogue WARRIOR build. i have NO idea what to expect.

but im thinming that the heaviness on the head + the big loft and very low laucnh shaft might make it something i can just tink dead gunbarrell straight high and strong.

im waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay outside the box now folks...

way ,way outside....!

itl be ready for use by saturday

This sounds really interesting. The Bimatrix made a comeback more or less ONLY because Bubba uses it right? Thought I heard he had stocked up on them, and now they come out with them again. They first came out something like 10 years ago didn't they? Or more? Became a bit talked about then disappeared..Bubba has always been a fan apparently.

10 years ago sounds about right. it was a huge success...for about 3 months.

got it today. 44.25 x 344 gram x d7 head with weights at 207.5 gram

first 5 shots went NOWHERE lucky to go 250 yards

swapped out the weights to 14 less and the ball wen nowherebut left.

fiddles about got the weighting right head back to 200 gram

and BINGO..,

the ball doesnt go anywhere but gunbarel staright. there is NO shape to it what so ever.

got it out over the 250 yard carry mark not a problem

height was mediated by the low shaft ( which has NO feel what so ever)

but the intended build has been satisfied

i think its longer than the kasco. MILEs longer than the 3 wood.

yup i got a rescue driver!

So how do you rate the Bimatrix shaft Stew.....?? Would you call it ' low spin, low launch' OR 'low spin, mid launch' type shaft?? With the metal tip, how's the feel?? And stability?

stability is amazing it doesnt move at all

spin seems very very low.

has to be considering i had a ls noir in this head pervious ,that went far too high

the bimatrix brought hths down to a lovely arc. its still high but no balllooning at all.

still not long but its deadly accurate. i dont think i have a more accurate driver period.

just not long

low spin VERY low launch

the metal tip is fine its a totalyl differnt feel ,like hititng steel but with the feeel of carbon.

its not ... great. no means.... but it works!

and id prob think people under a certian swing speed that dont hit long, this wont suit very wel unless ugot a huge lofted head.

i wouldnt like to hit this under 10.5*... even that might struggle. the 12* was perfect .

i was hitting this and my gamer the diamana X

and the diama X was much longer nad a much better flight path.

but.. the bimatrix was arrow straight.

i went thru my usual courses on every hole while i was swimming on sat arvo. and there is prob only 3 holes on most courses that this wont give me an advantage bec of ditance. and or hitting into the wind it would prob get too high and short.. but .. it wil be straight...!

i can use this INSTEAD OF A 3wood and or the kasco now.

this gives meHUGE otions potentially.

ill game her o nthe weekend and im taking it to melbourne .

accuracy has a price..!

ok i got a greta idea of distance tonight with this vs the jbeam 425 tour

flight oodles higher, incredibly straight can amke this thing do anything can hit stingers with it got ito turn over a bit and got it to slice, but had to exagerate the movement to get it.. not advisable nor required

just hit it staright ,becc tahst where it wants to go.

oh nad the

the jbeam is 30 yards longer, easily

yup i got a rescue driver!

While I love your experiments, why not just carry a strong 3 wood or the Kasco in lieu of something like this?

Or was this just for kicks?
