EPONfreak
My bag has/is a revolving door at the moment, i'm going to do a write up in a while once ive had more course time and had the opportunity to put the Personals into play........ been thinking about a couple of things that i would love to see from the master forgers.... I have given up trying to find a rescue/utility, for no apparent reason i just cant hit 'em any good. I just prefer long irons and really enjoy playing the 901 and game the 22 & 25 in place of 3 & 4 iron with the odd exception. Anyone who has used them will know how solid the feel. they are gold for long par-3's and landing soft on par-5's. I would love to see an updated 901, marginally smaller 19*, 21* & 24*, COSMETICALLY MATCHING THE PERSONALS!!!!!!.........oh, and with the club number on the sole not the loft..... if they brought that out I think i would loose it completely....... Spoon
yup yup completely agree. i hate it when they put the loft instead of the number. hopefully epon comes out with the 903 , if my assumptions are correct it will be like the 2013 callaway x ute driving iron which is so successful with pga pros. since its endo forged would make sense to have something similar? wmclarenf1
How's the 103 so far C?
Miuramaniac
IDK, I kinda like the loft instead of iron number. Like with wedges, I say I hit my 52, not my gap wedge. With iron manufacturers lofts all over the board, to me it make sense to put lofts on hybrids and wedges.

With iron manufacturers lofts all over the board, to me it make sense to put lofts on hybrids and wedges. I think I agree with this. For the reasons you've stated. I'd like to see the lofts on the irons..... The large majority of players have know idea the true lofts of their irons. I think it might actually get the OEM's on the same page. Now, having said that, the guys on here know their lofts.... but we are the small minority. Unfortunately, I like to take out different sets of irons and play. For example, I put the OnOff forged into play a couple of days a go just for fun.... My short irons were pretty messed up (long) because the lofts aren't even close to the Personals. I have never been much of a driving iron player and struggled with the 901's when they came out. Would love to see an update and give them a shot again after having made some changes to the swing recently. On a side note, I have a cover to the 901, says 25* but obviously fits any of them. Someone wants to pay the shipping and needs one I'd give it away. It's in as new condition.
+TourSpecGolfer
Sorta like the TourStage X-Blade Driving Iron. Except it has the smooth curves of the Personal irons. Yes I love the 901! Great Idea! I would vote for the iron number on the sole.

xerobound
Some new 901s matching the Personals would be great. I'm a big fan of long irons, the 901s are really forgiving easy to shape shots. I like how easy utility clubs are to get a high trajectory, but prefer workability and feel over easy. :)

Agree on the loft on the soles in lieu of 3-P. Mfg would still play with shaft length to be able to claim distance gains, it would just be easier to spot... chiromikey
ok...i'll play! epon, please, please, please make me a set of baby blades with less offset, super thin top line, modern lofts, thin sole, with a heavy/meaty muscle right behind the sweetspot, available in a finish of my choosing (probably copper or raw). they can be one-off if nobody else agrees but i promise i'll never ask for anything golf related again!!! While I like and agree, I don't think it will come from Epon. Stew had it right with the TourStage 905 MB getting a touch softer and a tad thicker. Maybe Yamaha releases a blade....
