viperact
Hi guys, I'm kinda wondering why epons are not sold as head only.. Is there something unusual with the specs? I'm getting Epon Personals and apparently they're selling it head only in S.E. Asia. And I don't really trust fitters here. Maybe I could get some pointers regarding fitting the set. I'm trying to get my hands on Nippon Modus. But if I can't get them, I'm gonna go with KBS C-Taper. Thanks guys. :tsg_smilie_smile2:
+TourSpecGolfer
What country are you in and where do you see them available as heads only?
EdGolf
I'm based in SEA and I've not seen any Epons selling heads only...... Something is truly wrong if they are selling heads only. Beware of fakes lol
Spoon
Because epon want to make sure that they are built to your specs. Its policy across the board. AND their are many many qualified epon Fitters builders and retailers in SEA. Check the epon website. There have been fake heads of 502 irons floatingnaround, Haven't seen any personals yet. Knock on wood

viperact
I'm in jakarta, indonesia. I contacted the shop through epon's website (which led me to rajagolf.com). I bought clubs from them before and they're actually quite established. I was quite surprised that they sell it as heads only. The other option is they sell it with ns pro 1050 ready made. Any opinions? Thanks guys.

viperact
Thanks for the info, spoon. I'll make sure nothing is unusual before buying them. Quick question, which shafts best fit those heads? Nippon modus3, True Temper Monaco, or KBS C-Taper?

Nippon modus3, True Temper Monaco, or KBS C-Taper? hands down monaco!! many users have tried the monacos and swear by them. i find the nippons modus more suited in cavity backs. cant go wrong with the monaco. better get them quick, i heard from a tt rep and they offically have 13 sets in stiff left. viperact
Oh dang! Where can I get them?? I can only find them in TX flex online.. Man, I wish I'm still in the states.. So difficult to find specific sets in SEA
idrive
Have the Modus in the AF302's. and a blended/combo set on AFTours and 302's and really like and get along with them but not liking them so much in the Personals. I just pulled the Modus 3's out of my Personals and installed the Monaco's The Monaco's in the Personals are hands down better than the Modus. Brought them to life. supo
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the veils are being lifted..... so glad TT made a nice to play shaft at last . yea monaccos in perosnals def go better.. the modus tend to go high with he perosnals, the perosnals seem to be high launching so the perosnals keep them a bit more honest......... the modus in things lie yamah tours however are MINT... i guess lwoer laucnhign heads and modus are a good match.. modus in blades suit very well... viperact
My perception with TT is that they are hard. Kinda breaks the mold hearing monaco's play like nippon shafts. Does monaco play true to flex? Thinking of stiff or softstepping x-stiff.. How's epon zen playing? I love that napa-style putter! Drooling over it. viperact
Supo, what's your swing speed? I'm swinging somewhere around 85 mph for a 6 iron. Any advise on monaco's flex for that swingspeed? I found monaco stiff and xstiff here. Costs ard $500 a set.
viperact
Thanks, gbs. There's a pro shop called fit-one stocking a few sets of monaco, but costs $500 each set
Spoon
Yup new sets are around 400ish especially in stiff, the tx can be had for around 300ish Try to get some pulls, there were two sets sold here for around 300ish
viperact
I guess 85mph 6-iron swing speed suits the stiff flex in monaco huh.. Time to build my set!
