Norboo
I am new to JDM products. I am currently 16 index and looking for a better irons set. I am playing JPX 800 HD. I I hit the ball low and avg/short distance. Would prefer forged but not a must.

inpresX
Its gonna be pretty hard to find a set better than the hd's. Maybe go to graphite shafts on the longer irons?

shacco
Onoff forged seems to be the way to go. Strong lofts and very forgiving with great feel. Yamaha inpres x v forged non tour might also be worth a try. Haven't hit it though. xerobound
Epon offers a few sets that would help you alot. Also, the VG3s are great for some distance and extra forgiveness.

EPONfreak
I have just uploaded an ad for the AF-Tours, good clubs for both improving and decent players.
shacco
Just wondering if the epon AF tours are so forgiving. Everytime someone asking for new irons the af tours are suggested, even for higher higher cappers. I haven't hit them, but for some reason I cannot imagine that they are nearly as forgiving than let's say onoff forged or vg3 or yammis non tour. They might be bigger and therefore more forgiving than a conventional blade, but they are still blades. Seems impossible to me to achieve nearly as much forgiveness without all the perimeter weighting. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Just trying to understand and maybe to prevent someone from buying something that doesn't suit his game. Duffer19
I just cannot imagine that the AF tour would be as or more forgiving as OnOff forged or VG3. I personally feel that even 301/2 requires better ball striking than the OnOff or VG3. The AF Tour would definitely makes the game more challenging (less rewarding) for a high or even a mid handicapper.
MoreBeerBetterGolf
The AF Tour is forgiving for a muscle back but it won't compare to a forgiving CB players iron. That's just physics. The MOI can't compare. If you want a sexy set of soft feeling muscle backs then sure but I'd be hard pressed to tell you they're the best for your score.
