Seems like I used an expression that doesn't really apply. A lame attempt at using humor.

You meant low balling… Yes, usually people are afraid to publicly low ball… Usually when I do it, I say it up front.. As in, "I know this is a low ball offer, but if you get to the point of wanting to sell it…"

In this case, I would equate it to making a pass at a woman that is out of your league. Could be taken as a joke or if they happen to be desperate enough might follow you back to your room… :tsg_smiley_santa:
