Craig
I think that we must all remember that the reason for the existance of TSG is as a commercial entity on its own. As individuals we should not compete against it.
ScaredbyPar
What if the particular club is signed by an international celebrity
MoreBeerBetterGolf
A Ryoma ST signed by Princess Diana would probably be a hot commodity?
Spoon
What if the particular club is signed by an international celebrity depends on what type of celebrity you are talking about. i think a made for manny pacquiao driver or steve macqueen putter will command more than a ron jeremy spoon or say a peter north soiled headcover. or is it vice versa? Eca
I'm also with you B. I'm one with a not so high budget so I hope I haven't offended anyone (I haven't made too many offers I don't think)
Spoon
i find a TM bubble burner R flex shaft trade + cash for a set of stinger not cool define lowball? i define it as something unreasonably low to the point of being insulting. ex: 1000$ driver 900$ ideal selling price 800$ will mull it over 700$ threshold 700$ -600$ no thanks anything below that is a lowball you gotta be dreaming. blatant lowball half or more of value asked . now if budget is in question or fear of a lowballing someone i will offer some merchandise + cash. the merchandise intended for trade will take care of the funds i dont have. offer what you want to be offered. its two way here guys
MoreBeerBetterGolf
43 TI Bubble II shafts, package of brush tees, and a Pingman divot tool for a set of Crazy blades? Admit it, that's gonna get a guy thinkin'

clevelaand
What timing this thread is. Potuna and I were just yesterday discussing the pricing on BST. So, as mentioned above, you buy a driver for $1000 and now are ready to sell it. How much? $900 maybe if you have only hit it a few times or had it a few weeks. But, what if you have had and played the driver for six months, a year, or like some equipment for sale, two, three, or four years. How much then? I know everyone wants to recover some of the money they spent for these wonderful, expensive clubs, but if you have used them a lot then you should expect to incur a loss. Potuna and I make deals all the time and sometimes he takes more of a loss that he was expecting and sometimes I take a loss. It all evens out in the long-run. (It is going to be a very loooong-run for us because Potuna has really been too generous and I have some really incredible clubs from him.) Oh well, I guess there is no exact way to price a club for sale on BST but we should be careful and realistic about the prices for our used equipment. Added later: I just saw some equipment being sold by Tae and he stated that he always sells his used clubs for 50% or less. He should get a gold medal for seller of the year!!! shacco
Guys, I think enough has beeen said about bst pricing. Everybody should have their own opinion about it. Personally, I believe the best way to deal with it is just not comment on any bst post if you don't like the pricing. Making fun in other posts about another member's add is not correct either. This is getting ridiculous and is only hurting TSG. Sent from my GT-N8000 using Tapatalk

jaygolf
Incredible how 2 or 3 sales can throw a wrench into a perfectly oiled machine. Best rule is the "use common sense" rule.

Spoon
and also prohibits users from selling items for more then what they paid. It says in the rules no profit selling. Its pretty straightforward. Selling more than what its worth in the forum proshop Does not sit well with me.
Mob
This community has been much larger in the past and thankfully it isn't that way anymore. It started with BSG, then came TSG and all the "tour" guys came here. Then they were like wtf this dudes only focused on JDM product, that left a gap in the market. thus WRX was born. I'm very thankful for WRX, it's a good place and the best part is they now house the many people I prefer not to have around here. No offense to anyone. We have been around for a long time and pride ourselves in keeping it compact with serious enthusiasts only. When the num nuts come around I usually scare them off or get rid of them all together and that really isn't a secret. The price I pay is that they go to another forum and bad mouth us, the pay off we get is the TSG community stays civil, informative and very awesome. We also have a huge lurker base, If you could only see the web statistics. It's international, we have people who never post that frequently visit and have been doing so for over a decade. I want to thank them too! In regards to the BST. Well we do have rules and if you notice anything suspicious let us know. The rules are in place for a reason. Seriously thanks for caring guys! There is a new version of TSG in the works, lots of new stuff coming. Our team is very passionate about improving the site. There is also a lot of stuff we do that everyone isn't aware of. Something goods coming up! Funny, I participate in both sites and I frequently see argumentative posts on wrx that are akin to road rage. I don't really understand it, and I leave those threads as soon as the arguments start. This is definitely more of a community forum on this site. wmclarenf1
Let simple market forces of demand and supply dictate. The right price is the price that any seller and buyer agrees and it really should not be a concern of the business of anyone other than the final 2 parties involved. If you don;t like the price, just move on. If you need to take a crap, go to the loo. At the least, send the seller a PM on his pricing if you really must and you can have your own private dump session with the seller directly. That said, I am guilty of a few posts out of jest in the porno BST post of late :-) But seriously.... not a complicated issue here guys.
