Too bad Stew, but did they tell you that the material will be available sooner or later on your preferred head? Which head is it if you don't mind me asking.... I live in SoCal, so I was lucky enough to watch the putter from milled blank to full completion. It was a pleasure to watch Byron himself hand stamp, grind, heat treat, paintfill, shaft, grip and present to me. I'm still waiting mine - a custom made putter GSS DH89 but with a Rincon neck I have asked Byron to do that same milling face that you have there - I think that's awesome. Too excited to compare this with the Gold's SUS303.
March 22, 201311 yr comment_204082 Here's a few comparison pics of my DH89 GSS with my 350g "Putter Studio" 009 in Tour Brushed Black. Even though the Byron DH89 is GSS and the Scotty is carbon with black plating, the deep milling on the GSS make it feel softer (more muted sound) Edited March 22, 201311 yr by MarkColby

November 13, 201311 yr comment_216934 I am going through the Lajosi ordering thing now for a copper mallet and he has been good so far, all responses are overnight and a lot of detail in the answers. Quite enjoying the process to this stage and looking forward to placing the actual order. have not seen any of his work in the flesh but it is hard to find any bad comments about the guy.
December 9, 201311 yr Author comment_218051 Well, I had sold it at the end of the season. but the finish was almost gone by then. The colors just kind of faded away over time. I think that is just how it is with certain oil finishes. Best to stick with some sort of plating if you want lasting finish.

While he makes putters that roll great, his finishing seems really sub-standard. My blue oil is not blue any more too. Great rolling putter. Just wish the finishing lasted. Looks great when it's just done though.
