gocchin
Chris and I filmed a short video at the end of the show and he just loaded it up on our new Vimeo page. Nothing fancy and no editing really, just a few quick comments on the show which was a blast. We will have many more awesome videos from Chris, pictures and posts up soon including a recap of day 2. I am very sorry as I had practically lost my voice by the end of the day!! <!-- This version of the embed code is no longer supported. wmclarenf1
So the Ryoma D1 Maxima is real....
gocchin
Yes but not the ones you saw on those sites. They were leaked and copied designs. Ryoma is dealing with the information leak/design theft (as they call it) which has actually delayed the launch.
wmclarenf1
I think they may be same at this point in time barring any last minute changes by Ryoma which I doubt given the cost to redesign, retool and the loss from Maximas already produced. Also means that Ryoma may indeed be outsourcing production to Taiwan or PRC which I am ok with as long as QC and standards are maintained and the head performs. This means that it is also now very conceivable that many other JDM boutique brands also outsource. Again, nothing wrong in my books as long as standards are maintained. Frankly, I strongly suspected this a long time back for various reasons. So is Ryoma acknowledging as well that they are 3 models : Type V, Type D and Type G and what they are supposed to be? Could be like the V-Spec, D1 and Premia? Any pics :-) Edited February 19, 2013 by wmclarenf1
+TourSpecGolfer
Awaiting a proto of the Maxima and more detailed info from Ryoma. Pics? yes plenty from all angles but lets devote a thread to it. I think we can get an idea of how good it will be by looking at stews excitement! supo
yea.. i was crook as roock -wood (thats aussie for sick) saturday. heavy week at work, hair tends to have a mind of its own! but his new ryoma made me smile tho..., .its gonna sell a quite a few id think. ilike the shape it kind of sits up like high toe low heel. looks like a draw bias shape but not the face, thats dead square. it looks like a much longer body than the previous models. like a full 460 cc head they incorporated the bulbous tail into a freeer flowing shape. that power tail is included in the desing, it looks like a Normal driver now. its wil suit a lot of guys tastes i think. looks easier to hit that the D1.
