Posted February 17, 201312 yr Having been reluctant to purchase a white headed club in the past the new Baldo FW, took my interest and I thought why not. On receipt, I was slightly disappointed with the finish but as purchased head only, I shafted up with my trusted Kai'li. Was supposed to try out yesterday but due to cold weather the glue was not fully cured giving me the chance to really give the head a once over. Unfortunately, the more, I look at the finish the more disappointed, I am. I know Baldo, had a bad reputation in the past but thought great improvements were made? Now, this may be the the finest FW wood in all the kingdoms but............. I am off to the range later on today and hope, I am pleasantly surprised but in my mind it has been soiled. Am, I being stupid? Are all white headed clubs finished like a bad day with the masking tape? As the only phone, I have is on my iPhone, this is the best picture, I can provide.
February 17, 201312 yr thanks ukok. based on your pics i do agree with you. i have owned white tm drivers and woods and they are nothing like that( all clean with no edging marks) i do hope it works out for you. heard nothing but good things about baldo's performance. this was one of my candidates for Fw. hope this is an isolated case.
February 17, 201312 yr Curious to hear how it performs. But to answer your question.... no, not really acceptable.
February 17, 201312 yr We would loveto help get this sorted for you. Drop T a PM about it. Yesterday We were just with the president of Baldo. That Company is moving forward in a very very good way. I dont think thats an acceptable finish, Its an anomoly as Tario has all the models at his home and those look flawless.
February 17, 201312 yr The clubs I have from Baldo do not have that issue so it could unfortunately be one that slipped through the eyes of QA. It is a small cosmetic issue but should not happen and sadly takes away from an awesome looking and what should be awesome performing club.
