The brand George Spirits is starting to grow on a lot of people. The man behind the brand, George Takei consistently releases cool new designs all year long.

They have a beautiful showroom in Beijing a Japan HQ under construction, and the products are sold in high end department stores like Isetan in Tokyo.

The product is quality it's obvious from the pictures and especially when in hand.

I wanted to share some pictures of his Mono 3D Forged irons which I have been rotating between the ONOFF Forged irons for a little while now. The ONOFF have C-Tapers, the GS 3D's have Recoil 110's stiff. What I like best about the Mono 3D is it's forgiveness, setup, and feel. It's not your average iron, George Takei always has a style about his designs that set it apart from other brands. His use of CNC milling design has just the right amount of bling while remaining tasteful at the same time. For me the feel at impact is similar to the Endo made mizuno JPX Forged iron although the 3D is no where nearly as big.

They look good!!

Gorgeous irons.

piece of art... I like them :)

Can appreciate the CNC programming, but the irons don't do it for me. Cavity must be cavernous to have that thick of a logo in it...

Yes it's deep! Main thing is you can't tell at address though, It's hidden forgiveness.

And placing so much mass behind the ball gives a very solid feedback, I imagine.

IF you hit the spot where the mass is located :-)

Its seems very similar to the Yuyuri, concept, intricate milling on a standard design head. The saying style over substance comes to mind. Not for me, but then, I am a bit picky.

These irons are bad ass. This and the ONOFF forged are my 2 favorite full sized CB's.

ONOFF 13 has C-Tapers installed

3D mono has soft stepped recoil 110S installed.

I give the edge to the ONOFF in setup

Feel is a tie, both different but still so good

confidence at address I go with 3D mono

accuracy is a tie

distance is a tie

too close to call. when you hit the 3D mono on the screws it feels like the ball is really soft and compressed.

The only George Takei I am familiar with is the one that played SULU on Star Trek. These look like Star Trekkian irons are you sure these were designed by the other George Takei :tsg_smilie_smile2:

How does it feel off center. Such deep milling has to have more of an impact on feel compared to more traditional CB, or at least I imagine it would...
