Chanaa
in the market for a new driver. been gaming my ryoma vspec d1 / crazy cb-46 for the last 2 years, the best combo ever. reading a lot of good reviews on R1 ( colour design aside ), so wondering if anyone here has compared / played both the ryoma vs R1. Also, will the R1 fit a crazy or diamana x shaft ? Thanks
crayon33
Woah bro I went from r1 ( to rarz fit extreme to RBI stage 2) to Ryoma D1, and there is no way the r1 is better than the Ryoma. I had my fitter put in my tour ad di into an aftermarket r1 adapter and it was a messed up affair. The 12* plays like an 8* and vice versa. It will be possible to use existing adapter but you may lose the small cap or ferrule during the install.
Craig
Man why you thinking of changing. You sick of being on the fairway
stevopagolf
Wait two months for the R2 then you can get the R1 for $149. TaylorMade is a great marketing company. I liked some of their old drivers like the 510. Now that they come out with a new driver ever quarter I can't stand them.

sjdavies47
Not quite the question, but I have a V-Spec (9.5 deg) and a R11s (9 deg) same shaft. I don't think there is much of a performance (straight out distance) difference between the two. Don't get me wrong the TM feels awful and sounds even worse (I'm ok with the colour of the head) and I fully appreciate the technology in the Ryoma and that it weighs exactly 198g and is the 9.5 deg it says it is. Interesting to note what Tario said on a previous post about the length of the neck impacting the shaft cpm given the adaptors on the TMs (they tip the shafts 0.5" before installing). Not sure if the smoother shaft feel is due to this or the great feeling head!!!!! IMHO if you are going USDM then the Titty 913 is worth looking at. nobmontana
You should wait for the D1 Maxima to come out.
Romaro-Slut
You cannot take a Lexus, put it beside a Ferrari and say, let's compare these 2! Haha
Chanaa
haha, looks like i am upgrading the lexus then ! tbh, the rbz 3w did wonders for me vs my RCs..........hence the interest.

wmclarenf1
I'm gonna take hold of probably the best feeling epon head bar none, the Technity 460, from a friend this week to shaft with a current day Crazy shaft of sorts. Should be interesting to see how the pairing of a "yesteryear" head plays with a current day high modulus shaft.
