We all know Kobayashi is in the process of creating a set of MB irons for S Yard sometime this year and we all cant wait for the release. If you can have Mr. Kobayashi design the perfect set of blades for you, what would be your dream set of irons look like?? Let's get our creative juices flowing TSGer's!!

Personally, I wouldn't presume to. I'd rather think of Kobayashi-san going to his bench alone and letting his mind go wherever it wants to take him.

I agree with Chris, combo set.

That would be nice but high CG only for the 7-PW MB irons though. Not sure if high CG will be a good idea for the 3-6I CBs.

Ditto, a nice low CG in the 3,4,5 would be nice.

Or how about instead of a 3 iron a unique driving iron built for the set at an up charge add on.

I'll play again.

Take the TS905, make it feel like the TS909, size it like the Miuraism SB01 mill the face and give it a raw finish. Traditional lofts with only degree stamps shortest club at 50*. Like Chris' idea of offering 24* and 21* hybrid like irons that fit the design ethos.

i wud get him to re design the personals just a bit hinner and with less of set.

not much thinner just a bit to get them a bit more dynamic looking. taking hte off- set degree right from the pg-gr tr500

Similar, I would say something along the personals or the TS 901 looks wise, the very slightest bit larger than the Miuraism SB01's, feel wise something in-between Epon and Miura, very dense heads with a real powerful thump at impact, as Stew says, frozen marshmallows, offset from the TR500 would be perfect.... And please, a 48* or at least 47* PW. I wouldn't mind a full 2-PW setup, but with a separate forged driving iron designed and offered in 17.5*, 21*, and 24*.

The man does not always heed the words of others... he is in his own world when it comes to club designs.... I just pray he lets us see his designs before they go final so we can twist his arm for tweaks...

I would be supremely happy if you could pass along our desire for minimal stamping and ANYTHING besides a chrome finish....l

In my perfect world, I would love to see the stealth black equivalent of the t.388 and XV fwy woods in an iron set that would launch with the Kobayashi feel and fill out my black and white S-Yard bag with the look of a total stealth kill set. ;=]

Blended set from an Epon 901 style 2 iron ( with an option to swap for a 'matchng' hybrid) the to 302 style cavity back and down to the aftpur style blade for the short irons.

Nitrided finish, so no plating yet full corrosion rsisitance.

Absolutely no stamps like ' Tour', 'Prototype', super jabaa high whatever anywhere on the clubs. Just the very nice S-yard logo and a number on the sole.

Guys, SYD is not in good shape as a company. I have a strong feeling they won't be around in 1-2 years.

While Kobayashi is the designer he is isn't the owner and the company has been making big errors not in products but in marketing, sales opportunities, and spending.

I'm bummed about all this, we are doing what we can to help them because SYD has really shown they can make something special, different, and kick ass.

That's too bad. They really do put out good products. Goes to the old thought that a good product is killed by poor management .

Really disappointed to hear this. Hope they turn it around, as it would be a shame to lose these guys. Definitely glad to have grabbed two t.388's -- that's going to be a collector's item, minimum. Going to pick up that 5-wd now, too. And the way I'm hitting the 3, may have to grab a backup there, too...
