bogeydog
It wasn't long ago that the forums were full of discussions of new shafts. There hasn't been anything talked about lately despite the new line of Crazy, Graphite Design, etc. Does this mean there is nothing worthy on the market or we are just tired? What is everyone playing, etc.?

Yohanan
Hey BogeyDog - I am assume you really dont care for Rombax X in the XV? Back in late January I hit the Rombax in the D913 and didnt care for it at all.. The D913 did perform 2nd overall of all the US clubs with the Diamana Blue. White was too much stick for me at 72g stiff. So I wont be ordering the XV with the Rombax. I know its made for it. But i cant do it. Fubuki k- check the profile if you haven't yet. I have not hit the K. I do have 2 drivers with the A and dont need a 3rd. Cheers
gocchin
Please keep in mind this is not actually the Rombax Type X in the XV but something similar. We are also not talking about the much older Rombax X, but the brand new Vectran Rombax Type X.
gocchin
The stand out shaft for the stronger player is the Crazy Black Tour. The RoyDeco's are still more specialized being ultra lightweights. Snapped a shot last week. I should also note that the Crazy Mofo TSG Limited Graphics are now available on any Crazy shaft model as well. potuna
Tell me more about the Platinum shaft. Fujikura Rombax Platinum Wood Shaft is made to be the premiere shaft in smooth and stable transfer of energy. It is made of high strenght fibers called "Vectran R", which is the same materil that was used in the Mars Spacecraft. Vectran R is known for its consistency and strenght and is very durable. Along with the 3 axis design of Fujikura, the Vectran R produces a very smooth and stable transition of power, while staying very stable for a solid impact. The Vectran R is the ultimate material in producing a very consistent feel and energy transfer every single time. It is a popular choice for Japan Tour Players for the always reliable feel and stability. The above is all true to me, smooth and long in the 09 Yamaha head. +TourSpecGolfer
Crazy RD Magnarun with Syard XV could be a nice combo. Hey B, for my swing I'm going to go with XV + RD Deep Impact in stiff ok? My 388 has the Crazy Boron in it. If you have any other requests with the parts I have above please let me know as I must glue today in order to put on the LM tomorrow. Mjr. D
What's the best shaft to suit me right now? I'm currently playing the Diamana X in a Callaway Razr FIT and it's not going anywhere. However, is there any new "breakthrough" shaft for the very fast, aggressive swinger out there I should know about? Thanks.
Calvin
I've never heard of Pnoez do you have a link to the website? http://www.pnoez.com/ But they are not really updating the website. The only product line you will find is PX-1 but that came out 5-6 years ago. The latest model ( not very sure) should be us-1 tour. If you can find some one translate Chinese for you, check this out - http://peargolf.com/article/jbeam-bm-435hi-11dugaofanfapnoez-us-1-tour-v65-rmuganceshipnoezganshenpinpaijieshaopian There are five articles about the combo of Jbeam BM 435 Hi and PNOEZ US-1 tour. jimmieboi
Get Crazy Boron shaft. It's currently my favorite right now. Light (help increase swing speed), stable and easy to launch with low spin.
Mob
So I have been playing around with a few different shafts. I am liking the Crazy LS Noir 7.4 in the 435 head; great combination recommended by Tario. It did take me a while to get used to this club, but I am liking it now. I am also getting used to my new Callway RFX driver with 3 different shaft options. Love the head, pretty and compact, low spine and mid launch. I started with the Fubuki K series 60X shaft and I am a big fan of these shafts; very smooth feel. I am trying the Graphite Design Tour AD DI 70stiff and this is a bomber combination. My last shaft waiting it's turn is the Diamana X 70 stiff; I admit that I am alittle intimidated by this shaft as I worry it may be too stiff for me, from all that I have heard. I am going to leave the GD in for another week or two, before switching to the Diamana X.
604_skyline
Tario, whats the story on the crazy black tour shafts? the cb tour 75 X flex looks mighty tempting...perhaps in a t.388?
Chanaa
time for me to try crazy boron. I hv CB46, LY46 & diamanaX. Least fav is the X........somehow it doesnt work for me. Too lively as i prefer the stout feel. The thng with shafts, its very personal & heads hv to mtch. Next time i find a good match, will buy a few of the same....but then, life would be boring. Read Tiger changed back to his diamana whiteboard for the players. He has not used the whiteboard since 2010
RIduffer
Tario, whats the story on the crazy black tour shafts? the cb tour 75 X flex looks mighty tempting...perhaps in a t.388? Have the Proto in an Epon 380. That and it's predecessor the Sigma 50 are my favorites. The Quadra Proto pairs well with the 388 too.
