Henry
I always find it amusing when a local rep for a major domestic manufacturer looks at JDM design for the same manufacturer and is dumbfounded by it. It was Titleist demo day at my club. After my round, I casually went up to the rep and showed them my VG3 irons. First reaction, had no idea what they were. Second reaction, thought they were fakes. Final reaction, took no interest in them and moved on. Although I understand they cannot get them and hence, no money in it for them, at least if they were true golf enthusiests, there should be some knowledge or interest especially since its there livlihood. Simply amazing. Edited June 9, 2013 by Henry

gocchin
The sad fact is that many of these demo day guys are not true golf enthusiasts as you say... its their job to sell what they carry only. Its just too bad. Can you imagine if we all owned our owned are own golf brands and TSG members worked there? The passion and love of clubs would be overwhelming! +TourSpecGolfer
I've run into my fare share of clueless reps. More than once they would "suggest" that these could be fake but they are not sure, even after you tell them all about it and that its legit. On the other hand I have met some reps that are blown away and stay in contact to see what the latest stuff coming down the pipeline is. I guess it really does come down to passion and the love of great gear.
